my neighbor has two boys. the older boy is the same age as my older dd, the younger boy is the same age as my younger dd. my neighbor and I have compared "war stories" -- his ex wife is even crazier than my ex husband, the boys don't even see her these days.
in the past few weeks we've had a lot of events in the 5th grade, leading up to graduation today. (my younger dd is in 5th grade.) at all of these events, the older boy was hanging out with my older dd. not unusual, they're both 7th graders and have known each other forever.
today it ocrrued to me that he's got a major crush on my dd. she does not reciprocate the feelings. she knows he sees her as "girlfriend material" but she would never mess up the friendship by going out with him.
