We are thinking of going to the Sherton Vistana with 3 families.

Questions
1. Is there a shuttle to the parks? (We don't want to deal with having cars)
2. Can we be near each at the Vistana?

Thanks for your help.

Well since our resident experts on Vistana seem to be MIA I will try to help. I didn't use a shuttle from Vistana but I am sure that they have one. Most of the better timeshares do. If it is like OLCC then it is pricey. They charge us 8.00 per person and the shuttle runs at least 2 in the mornings and at night. As for being near each other well I have heard that Vistana really tries to accomadate all guest. That being said timeshares are really not guranteed rooms like hotels. If they have put you in a unit and say the owners show up in the rooms next to you then you won't get rooms together. I do think though with the amount of trades at Vistana if you request that you just might succeed. I have heard good things about their front desk staff. :cool1:

sheraton does have a shuttle =- it is outside shuttle so it is expensive - like $7 to $10 per person per way?

you can get a shuttle pass (this might be cheaper) (you might have too) to ride this thing.

get a rental car or drive your own - much, much cheaper and easier. besides then you can control when you go and leave the parks.

these shuttle can be slow and they are on their time schedule not yours.

if you want Disney shuttle you need to stay at Disney.

sheraton vistana is a lovely resort with lots to do here!!!

sorry I should state that I have stayed at Vistana but I came as a guest of someone. They rented a 2 bedroom and only had 2 people staying. They invited me and dd to join them and then they left early and I then brought 3 other girls down to stay the rest of my friends week. Therefore I don't know about the staff but they had no problem as long as my friend kept them informed of how many and names of the guest in the room. HTH

Hi Sue,
You received good answers here already.
There is a shuttle to the parks, and at last check (maybe 9 months ago) it was $7.50/person/day (might have gone up a bit since last year). It's MUCH cheaper for 3 families to rent a car as well as much more convenient. You can come and go on your schedule and not the pretty limited one Vistana offers. I think Vistana leaves maybe 2 or 3 times in the morning and picks up maybe 3 times in the afternoon/evening.
As for getting villas near eachother. If you booked the rooms all together most likely they will place you together. If you each booked seperately, just make sure you call and see if they can link the reservations or make certain you all complete the Diamond Lane forms and ask the 3 reservations to be placed near eachother. Vistana is usually pretty accomodating. Here's the link to the Diamond Lane but if your trip isn't for awhile, I'd call reservations as well.
