Wow, did you see the full length trailer? Who else is excited about this. In the trailer you can definitely see that Robert Downey Jr. got in shape for this movie. I have always been a Holmes fan and love the BBC series. If anybody can understand the brilliant, troubled and drug tempted Holmes it's RD.

Yep, we plan on going and see this when it comes out. I'm not a Jude Law fan, but it does seem like good casting for the Watson part.

Not exactly how I imagined Sherlock Holmes, but I definitely want to see it.
Just about anything Downey does is worth seeing.

Have you read A.C Doyle's books. Holmes is actually in excellent physical shape and trained in boxing and martial arts. He's very physical although later movies focused on his cerebral side. The female interest is another matter. There's only one who he ever mentions as meaning anything to him in the books.

I have, but it's probably been at least 20 years, so my memory of them is pretty vague.
