Hi All:wave:

Only me again he he!:o It's now rather obvious that i'm in full planning mode;). Has anyone ever stayed at these suites before? We're staying here for the first time but i've not heard it mentioned in the boards before, i gather it's mostly timeshare but we booked it from the Virgin brochure, Any info most welcome,

Thanx,
Audrey,
xxxxxxx:)

Yes we stayed there in a 2 bedroom unit in 2002.

The unit was very nicely furnished and equipped. Large living room with big Tv and kitchen at one end. Main bedroom overlooking the ponds at the back, with a large jacuzzi bath actually in teh bedroom. Second bedroom was smaller and faced onto the corridors which overlook I drive.

They have a very nice large freeform pool, with a smaller pool for children supposedly but we found that if naything children played in the bigger pool and a few adults tried to escape to the smaller one !!

They had a small cafe/deli/shop type place - which is the only place to get food onsite.

Vistana Villages is at the far end of I Drive near to Oasis Lakes and not far from the Orlando Premium Outlets - about 5 mins from Sea World. You will need to drive to get anywhere (or take the I-Ride trolley that stops outside.

The only drawback for me was that the walls seem to be paper thin and we had a very noisy family group next door. We could tell where they were in their room because we could hear the footsteps and drawers being opened etc.

Also a couple one floor down and one room along played music on the stereo late at night and we ended up having to complain:confused: .

I hope this doesnt put you off however as overall it was a very nice place to stay.

The units closer to the pool are the timeshare ones - Virginguests seem to all stay in the blocks further out - which are just as nice surrounded by lakes etc.

You will be asked only once if you want to attend a timeshare presentation, we did but that is another story ..... ;)

Anything else you want to know - just let me know.

Thanks red snapper,

We're staying in a one bed apt, no jacuzzi in our room i'm afraid.
Doesn't sound as good as i thought it might be, it is a 4 and a half star property, at least that's what Virgin have classed it as, never mind, i'm sure we;ll enjoy it anyway:D

Luv Audrey,
xxxxxxxxxx

Like I said, please dont be put of by the noise thing - I have read posts from several people who didnt hear a thing while they were there !!

It is a very nice property - we went for it as it was 4.5 stars in the Virgin brochure but I think that is down to the quality of the units, furnishings etc. It IS a very nice place - but you do need a car.
