I don't know if this is a great deal or not.....

Special Offer from Sheraton's Vistana Resort: Offer Expires October 1, 2003
$109: 2-Bedroom Sheraton Villa, Near Disney
Orlando, Florida - Travel dates: September 26 to December 19
Stay in a villa one mile from Disney for less than you might expect to pay for a regular hotel room! Sheraton's Vistana Resort is offering a special rate of just $109 per night (regularly $189) for a two-bedroom villa that sleeps eight guests. This price is even less than what the resort's one-bedroom villas usually go for!

You can travel anytime between 9/26 and 12/19, but you must book by Wednesday, 10/1 to lock-in this incredible rate. A three night minimum stay is required.

About the Villas: Each is a spacious home-away-from-home with two bedrooms, two bath, separate dining room and living room with queen sofa bed and entertainment center, full kitchen, and washer/dryer.
About the Resort: A 135-acre tropical setting with lakes, fountains and waterfalls and plenty to do: 7 pools, 8 outdoor whirlpool spas, 13 tennis courts, 4 playgrounds, 3 fitness centers, mini-golf on-site, 3 restaurants and an extensive schedule of daily activities. FREE shuttle to Disney theme parks is provided.

TO BOOK: Click here to book at Starwood.com. Or call them at 1-888-847-8262. You must mention Sheraton's Vistana Resort and rate code TZNS.

Wow, thank you for posting this...it's just what I've been looking for. I just called and made a reservation for Nov. I double-checked ... there's no timeshare presentation required, no full pre-pay (just the typical credit hold). The only thing it doesn't include is housekeeping. The tax is 11.5%, which brings it to about $121.50. You can cancel up until 5 days prior, afterwhich you pay the one night fee ($109).:D

I also booked for November. I wasn't able to book online with the rate code. When I called the (888) number the agent initially couldn't find the rate code. He said the best available rate was $169 for Friday and Saturday and $149 for weekdays. He eventually found the rate :D. He said it was the last available:( , but you can always try.

He also said it doesn't include housekeeping. Thanks for sharing the rate code.:p

We stayed there back in Jan of 2001, BRAND SPANKING NEW! Awesome resort, My wife liked it better than the Boardwalk and we are DVC members and owners at the Boardwalk...It is a beautiful resort, we had a bad experience with the staff on a couple of occassions, but it good well out weighed the bad!

Thanks

Thanks so much for this post. I have been planning a trip this Nov. since Feb. and have been struggling over where to stay. I was able to get a good rate at the Wyndham Palms, but was not thrilled over the lack of "atmosphere" which I have been reading about. My wish has been to stay at the Vistana. I called to get a "great" rate of 179/ 149. The sheraton reservationist was not able to find the rate you quoted. I did not give up. On my second call I got the rate with no problem. I am so glad to have booked this location. I requested the Cascades section, of course without a guarantee. Can anyone recommend another section if the Cascades are not available??

In my order of preference:

1. Cascades
2. Lakes
3. Spas
4. Fountains II
5. Fountains I

Hope that helps!

FYI

As an owner at Vistana, you may wish to know that the Palms area, which is an older section, has recently been renovated with new appliances, etc. The Palms, being older, is also much larger than the "newer" buildings and the layout is different.

Disney Fool,

Are aware of anyplace online that I could see pictures of Palms units? I wouldn't mind staying there, but have been worried due to some of threads I've read. In any event, thanks for the info on the renovations!

We are going in May of next year through RCI. Have heard some really good things about the place and agree that Cascades is the best part to stay. We have read on a sight, sorry can't remember which one, that you can request which section you would perfer thirty day in advance.
Are you sure that the transportation is free to Disney. I have talk a couple of times with them and they say it is not free. What they are telling me is $7 round trip per person and kids are not free. Pretty expensive!!!!

According to the activities planner I have from our trip in August. Here is what it says. Scheduled service to the 4 WDW theme parks is available (at a nominal fee) through our attractions & Transportation Desk located in the lobby.

Hope that helps
