Anyone stay at the Sheraton World before? We have a tower room using my starwood popints. I have read a lot of bad reviews. Most have been from people staying in the two-story motel tyoe rooms. Can someone make me feel better? Tell me about your experience.

Hi there,

We stayed in the Sheraton World last year, we were situated beside pool 2 looking over the carpark. The room was a little shabby for a four star hotel, cleaning left a little to be desired in the bathroom but if you complained it was sorted immediately (and given free breakfast vouchers).

The ammenities were lovely and the staff friendly. Food was nice the few times we ate at the hotel usually in the Pizza place, or for breakfast. All in all we had no major problems with them and would go back. PM me if you want any more information.

If you're a Starwood member, you may get a tower room. The decor is very nice in those, and, if you're lucky, you'll have an awesome view of the Sea World fireworks.

I have already reserved a tower room. I figured id better spend the extra 500 points to make sure everythinf was ok. Has anyone else stayed here. Tell me how it was

We stayed here in 2002 in one of the natiest shabbiest two storey motel rooms. In the tower you would probably be OK. We had to walk past the laundry rooms and cleaning vans to get to our "garden room" aparently these were upgraded from goodness knows what!!

The reception is nice and walking to the tower (as long as you do not look left or right at the motel rooms) you should be OK.

Tourists were treated as an inconvenience by the staff and as said above cleaning was not the best.

Since staying here we always stay on site and have now bought DVC as I would never risk staying in a place like this again.

The pools were nice but the water tasted salty which makes me think it was not as clean as it should be.

Sorry I've told it like it is !!!

By the way I am not a hotel snob I have stayed in Days inn and Ramada but for the money this hotel cost I would stay at the Ramada anytime for half the price.

It worries me that not many people have info on the Sheraton World. Anyone else have information?
