Hi Everyone!!! We are planning a surprise trip for our boys, DS6, and DS3 for 6/7-6/14. We are booked into the Vistana Villages, and I was wondering if anyone has stayed here. We stayed at the Vistana Resort about three years ago, and thought it was OK. It was big, but old. So I'm hoping the Villages are a little more resort feeling, and newer, I know that they are still building here. Since it will be hot, we plan on doing alot of swimming and hanging at the resort. We don't want to go commando in the parks because it will be so hot, and we are staying at SSR in Dec. Any info. on the the Villages would be great.

Hello. I'm taking my 7 year old granddaughter to Disney World/SeaWorld/Universal Studios June 3-23. I've done alot of research and this resort has great reviews. I like it so much, I've booked one of my weeks here. Go to a website named tripadvisor.com to check out the reviews for this resort and all other hotels in Orlando or around the world. The reviews are from people who have stayed at the the hotel or resort in question and post their views on their stay and rate their experience on a scale of 1-5. Vista Village was rated an overall 4.5 stars and was rated #15 out of 284 hotels in Orlando. It was voted the #4 choice for families with children.

Thank you, it was a good site to check out. I'm a little worried about some of the reports though. We are owners with Starwood, and I do expect great customer service at all of their resorts. Hopefully the restaurant and main pool will be open. The pictures do look gorgeous, so I am looking forward to our trip. Thanks for the help and maybe we'll see you there.:goodvibes

Most reviews are 4-5 stars. Any reviews under 4 stars are usually people who meant to post their reviews to the RESORT and not the VILLAGE. DON'T CONFUSE THE SHERATON VISTA VILLAGE WITH THE SHERATON VISTA RESORT. The RESORT is the older of the two and has the bad reviews. Usually if you book through a webiste (like Expedia, Hotel.com) that buys blocks of reservations you'll get the older villas when you check in. FYI... or anyone else needing the information, a few other resorts with GREAT reviews for families with children are Marriot Grand Vista Horizon by Marriot Vacation Club, HGVC Orlando at Seaworld Int'l Ctr and HGVC on International Rd, Residence Inn SeaWorld Int'l (pet friendly). Have a great trip, maybe I'll see you at the pool!!

I'll just pop your question downstairs for some more info:)

And don't forget to post your review when you get home from your wonderful vacation!!

:sunny:

You will really like the Vistana Villages. We stayed there a few years back and had a wonderful time. We had a two bedroom unit and the decor was lovely. It was only a bit further from The Vistana Resort on the quiet end of International Drive. There was a grocery store across the street. There were two nice pools , a zero entry pool and a quiet pool. The quiet pool had nice cabanas where we. Both pools were just a short walk from our unit. My boys played basketball on the courts and there was a gym also. I would stay there again in an instant. Have fun!:goodvibes
