Sheraton Vistana Villages International Drive

Looking at booking for either this September or (more likely) next September and have heard some good things about this resort. We won't be driving again and wondered if any of you guys knew anything about this resort (first of all, where is it? I can't place whereabouts this is!!) and also, is it served by the i-ride trolley? Have read the reviews on one of the rating websites and it scores fairly highly but don't want to be stuck out somewhere if the trolley doesn't go past.

It is located at south I drive, it is very nice around there, no tacky discount stores etc...not sure about the I-drive trolley.
Have considered staying at the Villages ourselves in the past, if you post on the 'Orlando Hotels and Attractions' forum I am sure you will get some feedback, may even be do a search as the Vistana will have been discussed may times I am sure.

Yes it is at the southern end of I drive and it is served by the I Trolley it very close to the end of the route at Premium Outlets, we stayed there in May 2005 very nice accomodation.

I would recomend it to any one, but we did have a car.

I-Ride stop is at the end of the driveway.

Nice rooms (especially the 2 bedroom units) but I found the walls to be very thin - i.e could follow next doors children running through each room and could hear TV, music, talking etc

Fantastic place, stayed there in 2003, i-trolley stops right outside, publix supermarket and Orlando Premium Outlets within walking distance. Classy end of I-drive.

2 Bed apartments with whirlpool great but Mum stayed in 1 Bed which was smaller but equally as good - All in all, if my friend hadn't have purchased a villa recently we would have definately stayed there again in May this year. Don't hesitate, just book.

We stayed here in 2002 and loved it, the property is really good quality. I wouldn't consider staying there without a car though as even though the I ride trolley goes past i think it would be impractical to get out and about to the parks from there.

Actually, I agree, it could be done but I'm sure there would be better places to stay without a car, although you would have to go some to match quality

The Vistana Villages are actually in another place from The Vistana Resort. Just come back from staying at Vistana - excellent (stayed there in 2000 also). The Villages are at the bottom of I Drive - further away from WDW than the resort. They look really, really nice and are going to develop all round that area, but apparently the land is expensive so they'll be no cheap shops there.

Sorry unsure about bus thing but as mentioned above check our www.starwood which will be able to give more info.
