Sheraton Vistana Resort

Okay I traded my other II timeshares for this for March...

Since this is II and not RCI I should get one of the newer units - correct?

I got an old one last time and was happy - if I get the same building - it was very easy to come and go (Springs)...

was I crazy????

I saw a bunch of Marriotts disappear and I decided what the heck - go get it...

I need something for March or April - my annual pass will quit next May (early part)...

I wanted something close to WDW because of Spicey staying at FW. all the marriotts were the ones close to Sw - CH, GV, horizons

I guess I am upset because in 2004 I got a DVC resort and Marriott with this unit...

We are RCI and OLCC was not available for our dates and the only resort available was Vistana. We were put in the Fountain section ~ room 1317. The room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator! The room was very outdated and the stove and dishwasher were dirty! My DH called and requested and a newer section and they moved us immediately. We ended up in the Lakes Section ~ room 1817. It was much nicer but still a little outdated. I think we are spoiled because at OlCC we own a room in the brand new section and Vistana looked nothing like! The new room was do able. I would recommend you request a room in the Cascades section, this is Vistana's newest section.

Hi Pat,
Not sure if the oldest sections trade via II, but I own in the Fountains I & II and they do trade either II or RCI, so I'm guessing you could get at least as old as the Fountains. Contrary to what KelnRon experienced, in all of 12 years of ownership we have never had a problem with any of our Fountains units. Despite no elevators (doesn't bother us), we actually prefer the 3rd floor units because you get the vaulted ceiling and skylight in the living room.

Aside from that, it can't hurt to request the Cascades---you might get lucky. Fingers crossed for you

I traded into the Sheraton thru II this past March. We got put in the Lakes section and it was so beautiful. It was the top floor so we had cathedral ceilings and skylights. Nothing was outdated in our villa. We were given the same unit number on our confirmation paperwork. People say that it is unusual to get the same unit that is on the paperwork. I walked around and I liked the Fountains section too. Good luck! I have heard that II usually get the newer units at SVR.

thanks I am definitely feeling better.... I guess trying for a DVC resort in March or April (spring break time) is down right silly of me....

but I want one trip next year before my pass quits (have done 2 this year and have 2 more to do)
