Just booked the Sheraton Vistana Villages (on International Drive, not Vistana Resort on Route 535) for 02/21-02/28.

Anyone stayed there? Is there a certain section I should request? I've stayed at Vistana Resort and it was wonderful so I assume that Vistana Village will be just as good but I'd love any feedback.

Thanks!

Bryn, I'm wondering the same, so I'll give this a bump! do you mind telling me how you booked the Vistana Villages (through sheraton,, Priceline, etc) Thanks!

We booked Vistana Village as a timeshare exchange through RCI. We've also stayed at Vistana Resort and Orange Lake Country Club through timeshare exchanges.
We've become so spoiled by those 2 beautiful resorts!! I don't know if we'll ever be able to stay at an ordinary hotel again!

Bryn, this thread is very coincidental because I just got an e-mail (non-transferrable, otherwide I'd post) that offers Vistana Villages for $219 for 4 nights, one-bedroom. We only need two nights, but even so it's a good deal.
I did a search here and the property has excellent reviews. the only drawbeck seems to be that there is no restaurant on site.
I was wondering if anyone has been there recently and if there is anything like construction, etc to stay away from?

A couple years ago we stayed at Vistana Villages. We thought the units were wonderful!

I've stayed at both and I liked the villages better. It is smaller but I liked the size. You'll have a small walk to the pool area but nothing horrible. No restaurants on site but there is a deli. Sections are all pretty much the same. The resort is all new so you don't have to worry about that issue like you do with the vistana resort. A very nice place and a nice location. My only compliant was that the tennis courts were way off to the side. Have fun.

Jeff, I just had to post to say that I grew up in trumbull! Thanks for the input on the vistana, I think we're going to go with it.

can anyone tell me exactly where the vistana villages are located on i drive? are the on the same road to the premium outlet mall?
thanks margaret.

I just posted my opinion about this resort on another recent thread (today). I'm not sure how to copy that (sorry!) We are just back from a stay at the village. The resort is one of the newer ones in the area, and also looks like more buildings are under construction. The rooms in my opinion are small - just not much extra space anywhere. We had nowhere to set up the pack-n-play for our 22mo old to sleep - it was in the way no matter where we tried to put it. All of the furniture in our room had big knicks/painted rubbed off/table had big scratches. It was dusty and had lots of sand everywhere. BUT......we paid $169 total for 4 nights with $100 cash back......so we paid only $69 to stay there for 4 nights. On the upside, the deli was nice and served cheeseburgers, salads, hot sandwiches, and it was also a mini-store. My hubby and kids loved the place, especially the pool. The pool is very big and has a nice zero-entry area for the little ones. Washer/dryer in each room is nice as well.

Directions: from the airport:
Take the North Airport exit, to westbound SR-528 Toll road towards Tampa. Proceed 9 miles to exit 1, International Drive. Turn left onto International Drive. Go 3 miles and turn left into the resort entrance.

The opening of Vineland avenue also makes for better access now from the Disney area. Also a Publix and Walgreens nearby.
