Sheraton Vistana - Fountains

A friend is staying at the Fountains section of the Vistana Resort as her first timeshare rental experience. I was in the Cascades section in 2001 the last time we were there. Any current recommendations about the resort? Do they still have the "diamond" check in? Any specific sections of the building to request? I seem to recall the fountains section was with one other section but slightly by itself.

With all the remodeling they've done, almost any section should be great. We've stayed at the Fountains twice and were very happy with our units and that location.

Also, if for any reason you don't like your unit, don't hesitate to see if you can get other choices before moving in. Last March my dad wasn't that crazy about his view at check in and asked if there was something else with a beter view. The staff gave him three other options and a recommendation about the one they thought he would like best based on view. He took a peek at them all, picked the recommended unit, and was really happy with the unit / location.

I agree with Kathy, all the sections are fresh and new. Fountains is on the North side of the resort along with Lakes. The only suggestion I would have is to avoid the units on the back of Fountain Circle Drive in Fountains II section (bldgs 44, 45, 49, 50, 53, 54, 55) at the very back of the property. They have no water views at all and back onto the I-4 - not real close, but you can hear it.

And yes, Diamond Lane is still available throught the Starwood website.

we had one of those units that back onto i4, and gosh they are noisy, definatley want to avoid them, might be better asking for another section so not to have to make to many requests and run the risk of them not being honoured.
