Just read on all ears that the Vistana has complimentary shuttles to the parks, has anyone used them? What can you tell me about them as far as times and what not.

Thanks

The shuttle service is as follows :
7:55 am
9 am
11 am
12 noon

then pick up later in day :
4:30 pm
6 pm
8 pm
9 pm
and at park closing

I got this info in August when I was there. Hope it helps.
I have never used them so I can't comment on punctuality or anything like that.

All I can say is I personally have used the shuttles both in the park and outside the park. You are at there mercy.

I rent a car no matter where I am located. They are pretty resonably priced and to me worth there weight in gold.

Like American Express says

"I can not leave home without one"

I agree.....say for instance you take the earliest am shuttle (7:55 am). The soonest you can catch a shuttle back to Vistana is 4:30 pm. If someone is not feeling well during the day, that's a long time to have to wait.
Also, since I've never used them, not sure if these times are for each wdw park ? IOW, does one shuttle make stops at each park (MK, Epcot, MGM, AK) or is there a shuttle for EACH wdw park. If it's only one shuttle, that could take a long time sitting on the bus making all those stops ? Any who has used them know the details ?
I would much rather have my own rental. It would be different if the shuttles ran like the wdw transportation does. Also, the shuttles are complimentary only to those who rent. Owners and Exchangers will pay a daily fee (around $8/pp).

skyauction is considered an exchanger not a renter.

if you get a room with no housekeeping (no-means daily) - then the property is considered an exchange - I just don't know about those?

Well we are planning on driving down so we'd have our own car, but I was just thinking if a good air fare came out?? I wondered how these shuttles worked. We probably aren't going to the park but a couple of days because we'll be down there around spring break and i've heard how ridiculously crowded it is at that time. Was just wondering thanks for all the reponses.

I called today about the Sheraton shuttle. It is still complimentary to renters but 9$ a person for owners. I personally would have thought it would have been the opposite. Why is this not a benefit for owners? Anyways I was able to get the morning schedule and it is:

7:55 am MK and AK
9:00 am MK and MGM
11;00 am MK and EPCOT
12:00 pm ALL parks

She did not go into the afternoon/night schedule as to which parks but the times provided above are correct. The way the morning sounds this could make some long bus rides for those of us whom use their transportation.

I agree it doesn't sound good. You got a little more detail than I did. Thanks Robin :thumbsup2
Thanks also on the info on the price raise. The woman I spoke to did not mention this to me. I guess if it was offered complimentary to owners, we'd end up absorbing in our dues anyway---which I would not want unless it ran as well as Disney's transportation did. But for the way they run the shuttles, forget it.....I don't think it's worth it. Also, it can be a little bit of a hike just to get to the shuttle stop depending on where your villa is. I think they only pick you up at the main lobby area.
