Sheraton Studio city - Across from Wet n Wild

How come I can't find any forums on the Sheraton Studio City (International Drive)? It's in a good location but, noone ever recommends it...

Has anyone ever stayed here and what is your opinions of the hotel?

I booked it for 7/2 - 7/7 with AAA rate $78.20 a night...can someone give me any thoughts???

I've stayed there (last summer)-- the hotel is a little old but our room (while small) was nice enough and the beds were fabulous. We had some issues with noise from a group of teenagers while there, but that can happen anywhere. It is POSSIBLE to walk to and from Universal, but I wouldn't call it easy (there's a huge divided highway between the hotel and to where you start walking on Universal property, and even then you have some walking to do before you pass the Portofino and HRH).

All in all, I would say that for the price you are mentioning, if your expectations are not too high, it is a great deal.

I stayed there last March and liked it alot. The staff are great, free parking and the beds are wonderful. Cool decor as well.

Is the rate I received fair? I was looking on their website and the cheapest was $109 for the dates I have.

Sounds like a great rate to me . . . I stayed there using Hotwire (looked on betterbidding.com to get a good idea of what hotel I would getting) and paid $65 a night. However, to not have any of that potential guesswork and get the room for under $80 sounds like a good deal.
