Has anyone stayed at the Sheraton Park? We were planning on staying at PPH, but just saw pictures of the newly remodeled Sheraton Park and now we are not so sure. The prices are fairly comprable. Does anyone know if the walk from Sheraton Park is a lot longer? Does anyone know how nice the rooms actually are?

We stayed at the Sheraton Park Dec'07. The rooms are nice and the pool is beautiful. The walk took us 15 minutes but they also have the ART and are the first stop to and from the park. If you ask for a Disney view you can over look DCA and be able to watch the fireworks (if they are going on when you are there). My DH loved the beds and the restaurants were good around the hotel. They even had a little deli/pizza place that had pretty decent pizza for those night when everyone is exhausted and doesn't want to go out.

I do have some pictures but don't have them loaded to photo bucket but if you want to see them I will do it later.

Let me know!

just returned from a stay at the Sheraton Park (12/29 - 1/2). Thought it was ok... I am surprised that the hotel was recently updated as I found the rooms very out-dated with old fixtures and furntiture. We stayed on the tenth (10th) floor and had a view of the fireworks and DCA (when we weren't totally fogged over). On NYE, we could not see the fireworks but we heard and felt them -- my DH and I thought the hotel was going to implode!! Really like the "quickmart" inside of the hotel for breakfast and snacks to go (hot breakfast made to go). We never walked but took ART which ran every 20 - 30 minutes in the morning... great if you caught a shuttle / frustating if you miss one and have to wait another 20+ minutes. We seriously considered the Paradise Pier but ended up booking the Sheraton Park on travelocity and got 2 rooms for 4 nights for $980 (including taxes). Paradise Pier would have been the same price for only one room and there is no shuttle... our 6 year old would never have made the walk after long days at the parks.
