Long story-we have 3 days at the Sheraton Anaheim followed by 2 days at the Sheraton Park Anaheim. Is the former walkable to Disneyland? I have tried to follow the pavement-sorry sidewalk!!:rolleyes2-on Google Earth and it seems to take a long road round the park. I can see the backside of DTD :rolleyes1 but not how to get to it from the road... We were hoping we wouldn't be dependent on the hotel shuttle bus to get there-I know the Sheraton Park is walkable, we have stopped near there on previous visits.

Just to be clear you are talking about the one at 1855 S Harbor? If so, yes it's very walkable. We stayed at Doubletree last year which is further down the very long block and we walked most mornings to DL, it was a 1 mile walk so you will be less than that.

I know what you're talking about with the map routing you to the backside of DTD, not sure why it does that in google maps but your walk will be a straight shot down Harbor with the entrance to DL on your left.

The Sheraton Anaheim is 900 Disneyland Drive-just north of DL. The Sheraton Park is the S Harbor hotel-we have stayed further up S Harbor before and know that that is walkable, its the first one we aren't sure about.

I was just looking at that and was about to post that I think I got them confused, the hotel names are all so darn close!

If you put in Ramada Maingate, which is right across the street, for your route it shows 1.2 miles

We are doing a coach tour of California from the UK, where we finish up with 3 nights at Sheraton #1. We asked the company if we could add an extra 2 days to the end of the holiday and they said yes, but they couldn't book us into #1, we would have to move to Sheraton#2!! I don't mind as its nearer and more convenient but its really making it confusing!

Ok I just realized if you type in Disney Way instead of Disneyland on google maps that puts you to the entrance and not DTD, and it shows 1.3 miles

This won't be a problem any longer after May 22nd, as that's when the Sheraton Anaheim ceases to be a Sheraton hotel. Don't know who pulled the plug...Sheraton or the hotel's owners. But, after over 40 years as a Sheraton...it will soon become something else.

Though there is still the "Sheraton Park at the Anaheim Resort" and the "Sheraton Garden Grove/Anaheim" left to confuse everyone. ;)

I find the walk from the Sheraton Anaheim to Disneyland via Disneyland Drive a rather enjoyable walk. Nice landscaping along the way. If your dogs are yelping after a long day at the Parks...their shuttle sometimes starts sounding like real nice deal for the return to the hotel.

The Sheraton Anaheim will become the
Majestic Garden Hotel on May 22nd. I made a reservation a while back and got a promo code for 20% their best available rate for travel between May 22nd until May 30th if anyone is interested. ROYAL15 is the code.

Regarding the OP's first question: yes, it is easy to walk from the Sheraton Anaheim (Disneyland Dr. and Ball Rd.) to the parks. The walk takes about 25-ish minutes, depending on your walking speed and the light at the Ball Rd. intersection. Make sure you take the east/left side of Disneyland Dr. at Ball because the sidewalk on the other side ends shortly after Ball. Keep going south on Disneyland Drive. When you get to the crosswalk at Magic Way, you have the choice to cross west toward M&F -- you can take the tram if you want. (Also, if you take the tram back at the end of the day, you'll be able to walk back to your hotel in about 5-10 minutes.) If you want to stay on Disneyland Dr., keep going south until you see the signpost turnoff for DtD. (If you go under the DtD overpass, you've gone too far.) Go left and you'll be walking behind DtD all the way to the tram drop off area (by WOD). You'll see an entrance gate to DtD by Haagen Dazs, if you want to use that. You can also keep going south on Disneyland Dr. until you reach the GCH -- enter there, walk through to DtD or use the entrance to DCA. Hope this helps.
