What do you use to shelter kids from the rain in a rental stroller (thinking double stroller)?

Last trip we brought our own double with raincover and it was perfect since it rained alot that week. Now that kids are older, we would like to try to rent a stroller in the parks, but we're going in Feb and if the weather is bad I don't want to end up with cold, wet, cranky kids. Is there any way to keep them dry in the rentals?

I used a poncho and draped it over the top so it would hang down.

The last time we went to the parks with 2dd's , we rented a double stroller. I brought a clear plastic stroller cover from home. I think I had ordered it on line or found it at Burlinton Coat Factory... it was for a large side-by-side double stroller and it fit perfectly :earsboy: It also protected all the stuff in the basket and the shoes of the person doing the pushing. I can't tell you how may people stopped me to ask if I had purchased it in the parks!! I could have made a fortune if I had extras to sell :cool1: (I also brought 2 large single stoller covers because we used our own single some days, used our own stroller and rented a single on other days, or rented a double...It depended on the park and how tired the oldest was.)

We used the double in Oct. (when it rained some every day) and the kids just put on their ponchos and stayed dry. The top did shield them some too.
