Shellie May Plush in WoD

I went to WoD last night looking for her- and she wasn't there. I asked a CM and was told, "Any sightings of her were a mistake. She wasn't supposed to be put out yet. People got in trouble." Also wouldn't confirm date, but said "soon"...

I had a conversation with someone via another group on Facebook and she confirmed what KJay said after going out last night to look for Shellie May...after speaking with several managers, Shellie May "sold-out" in error on Wednesday and will not be restocked until the official release date (this person was told Tuesday, 10/20).

As I paid for my friend's bear, the cast member said last night someone brought 25 (!) bears.

That is a lot of bears! I wonder if they will put a limit on how many Shellie May bears people can buy at one time or per customer. It would be nice if they limited the amount of bears a person an buy so that everyone can have a chance to get a Shellie May bear if they want one .

That's sad...that's obviously someone who is planning on selling them on the re-sale market (I can't imagine a situation where one person would need 25 of them). I remember folks doing that with the 60th Anniversary Popcorn Buckets on the 24-hour day. They were actually bragging about it and about how much they would make from the sales of these items. Sigh...

I completely agree with you it is sad that the probably majority of the bears the person bought will or already are online. I do not necessarily want to buy my Shellie May online because I want to have the fun of picking her out myself. Also, I do not want to have pay a higher price for her on other sites and or shipping and handing.

I would hope that there would be a plan limiting the number of purchases in place by the time she actually goes on sale. I didn't understand the reasoning behind the purchase of so many of them...in a few days (hopefully) the bear will be readily available to all.

The old lure of her only being available at Tokyo Disney Sea and then the Aulani is going to be a thing of the past.

I've never tried to buy something from WDW without being there... does someone know if you are able to call the merchandise line or use phone app, and still get the discount with A/P or DVC or Disney Visa? Or are you only able to get those discounts in the parks?? I've been stalking the app to get Shellie May and a costume, and would like to get the discount if I can.

I've called and mail ordered items from WDW in the past and you can get the Disney Visa discount (10%) or the AP discount (if you have a WDW or Premier AP).

Some items do have restrictions and I wouldn't be surprised is Shellie May will be one of those items that cannot be mail ordered until 2 to 4 weeks after release (Tsum Tsums, pins, special event items, etc.).
