She sure was a good actress. I'll always remember in her great role in The Poseidon Adventure. Hard to believe that movie was almost 35 years ago. "In the water I'm a very skinny lady."

Go in peace Shelley. I always found her fascinating. When she was on Carson, she would crack me up. I read both of her books and she certainly shot from the hip. I always think of her when I see sexy high heels and the name she refered to them as. I understand her daughter by Vittoria Gassman is a physician.

How about her in the original Lolita as the Mom.. or in Raintree County...I think that was the name of it, with Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor....she was Clift's girlfriend that he murders for Elizabeth Taylor....

She was one of the best...old movies, new movies.. I always like Shelley Winters.. she will be missed.....Gutsy lady...
