Friday 6th October Day 1
Alarms went off at 4 and we were all up and out of bed no problems. It was a bit of a struggle sharing the bathroom, with 5 of us to get washed but we managed it. Everyone was ready for 5, Rob and Martyn doing the final checks on the house, locking windows,doors, unplugging electrics. We had booked the minibus for 5:30 and we were surprised when he arrived 15 minutes early in a bus!!!! We were expecting a normal size minibus but we had a mini touring bus!!! It was great. The cases were loaded, we piled on and we were off.
On the way to the airport we watched the curse of the WereRabbit. We didn't pay much attention to it though, we were still trying to wake up and we were laughing at all people on there way to work
We had checked in online the day before so we sailed though checkin. The security checks went quite quick too. It took just over an hour to get through to Duty free. We had breakfast first. Martyn and Rob had a burger king, Sheila and I had a sandwhich and Lucy had a croissant. After breakfast we had a wander round the shops. Rob and Sheila spent a small fortune on creams and fragrances. Martyn treated me to a new perfume, I got the big bottle of Princess by Vera Wang (£40 found this alot cheaper on the return trip) and he got him self some Jean Paul Gaultier.
I work in Asda on the checkouts and i met a lady who told me she worked in the duty free in terminal 2, She was working this morning so we went over to say hello and they gave Lucy a small bottle of perfume, this made Lucys day! From here we went to Smiths so Lucy could but another magazine 
We went down and found some seats near the gate and sat chatting.
The flight was going to be full as the gate was packed. I had earlier seen a ring in the duty free which I liked so Martyn told me to go back and get it Its only costume jewellery but its pretty.
We started to board on time and the plane taking us was Jersey girl. We had booked the 4 middle seats and one of the ends seats. We took off half an hour late but the flight was very pleasant. No turbulance and the GU chocolate pudding was very tasty!! I watched The Break UP 3 times, I kept on missing the ending
We landed on time and again we sailed through the security checks. Collected the cases for the second time and made our way to Dollar. We were 1st in the que for dollar. We got a PT cruiser, not to sure what Rob and Sheilas car was. Cases loaded and were off on the road to POP
We checked in and the first thing we did was go and buy our pop mugs. We all got a drink and sat in the food court for a quick break. When we get back to the car we find that Martyn had managed to misplace the car parking permit already and has to go back and get another one
We had requested through Virgin to stay in the 50's building facing the hour glass lake. When we checked in at POP they told us we had a room in the 50's building but not in the direction we wanted. They appologised and hoped we like our room. Well we loved it, the view was fantastic. We we in room 2465 and Rob and Sheila had 2464, we were facing the 50's pool and the lake. I loved this place already
We decide to have an hour in the room in which i manage to unpack (neatly!) and then we would go to Walmart. Here we buy some toiletries and a set of 2 way radios.
We ate in POP, I had a meatball sub, Lucy had some fries, Martyn had a pizza, Rob had noodles and Sheila had fish. Lucy insists we buy a new pen to use for the autographs in the morning, she chooses a pink princess one $4.50... You just know this pen wont last 5 minutes.
We retire to the room very tired at about 8:30. A quick shower and the wake up call is booked for 6. (like we were going to need it......) Lights out.
