DD just found out that she won an essay contest for current/past culinary students to go to Arizona for a Pastry Forum. It's a program that lasts for a week. Many famous chefs will be there.
We have to pay for airfare and we get a student rate on the room at the Marriott. I have to see what this is going to cost me!!

I find it annoying how their stories just take over! I must admit that I do watch tabloid tv, from time to time (the Insider, ET), and they put so much focus on one subject.

I don't think it's luck so much as we just enter lots of different sweepstakes and contests that come up.
I've been hooked on that hobby since I was 10. I always enjoyed writing, so it helped. I have rubbed off on DD.
