Thumbs up to Hildi on Trading Spaces tonight!

How is it that Hildi does two crazy rooms in a row (feathers and cardboard), and then IMHO, knocks one out of the park tonight! I LOVED that blue bedroom! The color was gorgeous, the fabric was beautiful, I liked the silver furniture and making the highboy into an armoire. Wow.

Kia's room however.................lacking.....the bed, yes, was neat-o, but everything else was just blah. I understand that Ty spent a chunk of her money, but she just doesn't have the knack that the other designers seem to have for pulling it ALL together- and that color choice for the walls was weird to me...

For me the best part of the show was when Paige led the HS band and then said time's up when they stopped.....that Paige is a honey!!!

I loved what Hildi did with the silver on the ceiling - that was so pretty!!!

It was a little too blue for me, but a big improvement over last week. Kia's room would have looked a lot better if she would have been able to afford new carpeting.

I wonder how much of Hildi's "Good Room Quotient" is related to the homeowners and their attitude about change. These people had thousands of dollars worth of traditional mahogany furniture and said, "We're over it. Do whatever you want to it." I see that as sort of the opposite of waving the red flag at the bull.

Compare to the last couple who said, "Whatever you do, don't attach stuff to the walls." Hildi's brain: "Oh no they did NOT just double dog dare me! Let's see what I can come up with..."
