update from okeechobee... Winds here have picked up pretty strong, I'd say sustained from 20-30 MPH. Also it poured buckets from around midnight to 8:30 this morning. We have this dead tree on the side of the house we've been trying to get the owner's to get rid of forever... it's only supported up by a palm tree I just hope it doesn't fall b/c if it does, it's directly in line for this room (the computer room) & the master bedroom.... Heard that a lot of people over in vero/jensen have lost power as well.


I'll keep you all posted as more happens.

Just now got back from Breakfast, (no I do NOT cook too much), and now my DH is going over to his rental property to check on that. We have had some wind and slanting rain, but not much of anything else. Its so weird, driving around and not seeing too many cars on the road, and just about EVERYONE is borded up! I slept great, because I was soooo tired from not getting sleep. The Reporters are out in some areas, and talking about flying leaves and small branches they are over-dramatizing everything, because, there is nothing too much to report yet! Looks like WDW is closed for today, don't know too much about tomorrow, there was a rep on the TV last night by phone about all that. Well, thats all to report for now, you all take care, and keep sending those Prayers!

Breezy but no rain yet in Jacksonville... the weather folks are saying our wether should head downhill pretty fast later. I just don't know what to expect over the weekend.

Just got back from lunch and stopped at a friends house over by Biscayne Bay. Yes, its a little breezy and some palm fronds are blowing around but thats about it so far. My house had no power for about a half hour, but I think they are back on now, i will know when I get home. hope to talk to you all than.

Lights are back on, looks like Palm beach County on up is getting the worst of the storm right now. We have some gusts here, and we are IN for the DAY! My DS is over at his friends house, and my DD is OK, at her place with her Family. So, now that everyone is OK so far, I will take a Nap! See ya later I hope.

Just checking in to let you all know I came thru the storm OK. Our lights are STILL ON, and I went into work today for about 5 hours. So, I actually saw some BLUE SKY today, and said HELLO to the Sun . Hope everyone else comes thru OK too!

Well I just spent since fri at my job (a hospital) I had to go in as part of the during crew and my DH goes in with the after crew he will be home at 11p tonight.
Like has gone on about its buiness that is for sure just got home from publix and people were acting like nothing had happen.
We also was very lucky with this storm.
Now we just have to wait and see what Ivan is going to do......................

WEll I am sooooooo glad this is over and hope I NEVER have to go through this again!!!!
WE live in Western Palm beach county and from abvout 11 pm till 5 am it was sooooooooooooooooooo SCARY!!! I mean I can not describe how scary!! The noise is unbelievable. ANd we are very lucky we have a home built after Andrew so it is made to withstand better.
We mostly have flooding and trees down!! We just got our electric back on last night around 8.
Please pray that Ivan goes out to sea I really cant take this again!!
I hope the rest of you guys in Florida are ok also. Hugs to you!!!
