Anyone who has visited recently, can you tell me around what time they turn the neon lights on at Carsland?

It is within a few minutes of official "Sunset"...and since sunset changes each day for that given location that lighting time also time changes daily

I for the life of me wish I could remember exactly, but I had the opportunity to talk first hand to one of the lighting designers for Cars Land and he did tell me that the effect is programmed to happen [xx] min after official sunset for each day...don't remember what that number was but it is indeed on a set programed time that uses the daily sunset time calculation if someone wanted to take the effort to time it out in relation to official sunset.

Thanks for the info. We are getting in tomorrow afternoon and I'm hoping for this to be a magical way to start things off.

Most CMs tell you to Google the time for sunset on that particular day. We always aim to be on Rte. 66 about 10 minutes or so early to find a good viewing spot around Flo's. If you want a snack, go about 20 minutes early, get something at the Cozy Cones, find a nice viewing spot, then wait for the magic to start!

...or a glass of wine from the terrace...

It will be lighter out than you think ... they don't want it to get dark enough for people to start tripping.

I found that food CMs in the area don't have a clue what time, but if you see an entertainment CM they have a reference guide with the time to the minute!

It's a really cool effect to be part of.
