is the chicken or lamb shawarma platters on the counter service for the dining plan? We really enjoyed them last year but we are new to the dining plan. Thanks all

IMHO the chicken and lamb platter is the best QS value in WDW. Platter with dessert and drink would run you well over $20 if you were paying OOP. Really good, too.

^As I recall it's with pita, hummus, tabbouleh (sp?) salad and another side I can't remember (I don't think rice).

darn, I can't have pita unless it is gluten free, which I doubt but will check their menu. Thanks. :(

We always share a couple of QS every day we are in EPCOT. And the platter in Morocco is ALWAYS my favorite! That and the nachos in Mexico...could ffed an army!

My son likes nachos and I can have them...Where in Mexico can we get a huge plate of nachos??? Is it a QS or a CS?

What is the platter in Morocco? The Schwarama?

Thanks

La Cantina de San Angel (in Mexico) has: Nachos - tortilla chips with ground beef, nacho cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos, black beans, and sour cream $10.50. It is a CS.

QS (Quick Service) and CS (Counter service) are the same thing. Snack credits and TS (Table Service) are the other two types of credits.

Tangierine Café in Morocco has: Chicken and Lamb Shawarma Platter - served with side of Hummus, Tabouleh and a Tangierine Couscous Salad with fresh Moroccan bread $14.99 You can also get a platter with just chicken or just lamb ($1.00 cheaper than the combo). Photo below is the lamb platter.

[QUOTEpersnoop, post: 53681451, member: 495135"]The "Quick Service" dining plan is valid at "Counter Service" restaurants. People seem to use the abbreviations interchangeably.[/QUOTE]

Thanks for this...I will share the info with my DS....It looks yummy except for the pita...a no no for me!
Oops..that should have said QS or TS... My bad...

I have made substitutions there (preferred tabouli & hummus to French fries.) Just explain and ask...they have lentils and such, so I think you would still get a great meal option, even if they don't have gf bread!

You are so
Great! Thank You!
welcome!

BTW, my DD has a friend who has celiac, and we wanted her to come with us, so I was researching before inviting, and I believe there's a gluten free at Disney blog that was really helpful. If you do a Google search, I am sure tons will come up!

You should also note it on your reservation, and contact special diets so they can make sure that you have all the literature to know which places have dedicated fryers and such!

Have a great trip!

Yes, I have read that and it was really helpful! Booked Raglan Road because the GF fish and chips looked soo good :worship:

These boards have been so helpful in planning my ADRs. I was really worried about doing the dining plan with eating Gluten and Dairy Free, but these boards are awesome! It is actually harder to find a place my picky DS son will eat at as he doesn't eat pork or beef and is a selective eater :rolleyes1

But I only have 3 more ADRs to book!! So looks like I will be having this platter.

:disrocks:
