Tuesday - June 19th - Day #5:

Today is our Blizzard Beach day. We are Florida residents so we got to take advantage of the Buy 1 get one free deal. Plus we all got free souvenir mugs from there. Got there about 8:50 am and there was already a line. They let everyone in…but then you had to wait until right at 9:00 before they would let you go any further.

We did luck out though and get a shady picnic table by the wave pool. Man, I had forgotten how many steps you had to climb at BB. Every time you go up….you have to climb a gazillion steps to ride another ride. (Makes me feel old too…lol).

We had done this park before about 5 years ago and now I remember why I didn't care for it before. The rides where fun….but I'm no spring chicken (39) and the steps are getting rough on Cameron and me. The kids didn't have any problems. The rides were fun and for the teenagers…this will be heaven for them.

I have to say…out of all the parks…Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite. At least you don't have to walk a hundred flights of stairs to ride a ride.

We packed a lunch instead of buying. Getting tired of all the eating out…so it was a nice change.

We left there around 1:30 and headed back to the camper. I decided to go looking for Barbara Fisher, (who is on our boards and was kind enough to send me some lime green ribbon for the DIS boards too). I actually got to meet her daughter….very nice…but never got to meet Barbara. Bummer! I tried though. Sorry Barbara! L

Well, we had PS's for Whispering Canyon….love that place. We decided since the other day that it took over an hour to get to Ohana's that we would leave about 45 min. early to get to the Wilderness Lodge. Well, guess what? We caught the bus right on time and the boat to WL was right there when we got there. (Of course, when you are early and have the time…its there..lol). Well, the kids headed over to the gameroom for a little while. I just sat in the rocking chair and relaxed.

Now, it's time for our PS at WC. I didn't care for our table that much and we got an awful server. He was NO FUN AT ALL. There were only 2 servers in the whole place that were actually having fun and doing jokes. Last year when we were there, we had a wonderful server and ALL the servers where in on the jokes and making fun of everyone. Not so this time. (Maybe I just got them on a bad night). We were all ready for our server to make fun of us..lol…nope….boring! Though, the food was excellent and we actually were so hungry from being at BB all day, we ate 2 rounds of food. We were stuffed when we got done.

Well, it's around 7:30 now and we head back to FW to catch the campfire singalong and hoping that I'll meet Barbara there (wearing my ribbon)….but I didn't see her. Oh well.

I didn't stay for the movie…I waddled back to the camper and headed for bed. Tomorrow is Epcot day! J

My dds said the same thing about BB. I think next time they will try another park too.

okey......so I like Typhoon Lagoon better........but I still think the water is colder........thanks for the great reports

Oh No Pumba...I think you are right. The water at BB is much colder. Or it seems like it is! :)
