Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

Okay ladies, another day is in the books and it was good!:smooth: I did very well yesterday. And my sunny demeanor lasted the whole day!:sunny:

It got a little crazy at work with deadlines and such. I never made it out to lunch and ended up with a bag of potatoe chips. Not a great, healthy choice, but I still stayed within my points range, so I was happy with that.

Today at work, we are celebrating Fat Tuesday. There is a smorgasboard of foods right outside my office door. I made my fat free banana bread for it.:p I am going to try to resist temptation and not indulge. It won't be easy, but I'm pretty sure I can do it!

Okay, here the details of Monday:

100 oz water

B- honey nut cheerios 2 pts (got some in mickeysdsnyprncs!)
L- cup of carrots, string cheese 2 pts
S - bag of potatoe chips 7 pts
D - beef stroganoff with noodles, peas 17 pts

Total 28 pts (target 24, 4 APS)

Now the big news - I did 40 min on the *evil* stepper. I started out wanting to try for 40, then kids were pestering me and I thought, okay , 30 min. I got to 20 and said okay, thats good, but lets see if the kids leave me alone, I'll go to 30. Then 30 came and went and I thought , okay , maybe 35. Then I just became determined and said I'm gonna do it! 40 min!!:teeth: I am very pleased with that. If I can do 40 min at least every other day, that should really help my backside!

Thanks to everyone for stopping by yesterday. All your warm thoughts and words REALLY made my day! Thank you SOOOO much for that!::yes:: The fire Sunday night was very cozy and relaxing. DH and I enjoyed it very much. ;)
Marcia - your crazy girl!! You really made me chuckle!:hyper:
I'm off to do some work. I'll stop by journals as I get a chance. Have a great day!:sunny:

yeah, i know i'm nuts. but at least i get a laugh out of you guys. haha, as long as i get that, it doesn't matter how crazy i am

ok...40 minutes...*evil* stepper...whaaaaat? you never cease to amaze me! :bounce: i think it's safe to say that you are the master of that thing, it is no longer in control of you. you could have easily stopped at 20 minutes...but you went 20 more! oh wow. i just can't put me thoughts into words, just wow :teeth:

great job sticking to points yesterday too, even though you got thrown for a loop at lunch. way to make it work for you. a potato chip lunch is fine as long as it's not a regular thing ::yes::

today sounds like a challenge! fat tuesday celebration, oh my. stick with your ff banana bread, i know you can do this. whenever you pass by the table of food, just remember that your co-worker sneezed on it. all over it. big huge mess. oh, but not on your banana bread...that's safe :)

hope you have a wonderful day again today sharon :sunny:

40 minutes on that thing! You are a superwoman. Good Luck with temptation today. I know you will resist. Just think how many minutes on the evil stepper you'd have to do to burn off one of those treats. Besides your banana bread sounds tastier to me.
:wizard:
Beth

Marcia - :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I have such a mental picture in my mind right now of all that sneezing and mess! Oh course, everyone in the office thinks I'm crazy cuz I'm sitting here laughing like crazy! And thank goodness my banana bread was spared!!:p

Thanks Beth - that's a VERY good perspective! How many minutes on the stepper to burn off each treat???! I DON'T want to know!

Thanks for making my day girls!!:teeth:
Sharon

I'm so proud of you for doing 40 min on the stepper. You really are conquering that beast.

I hope you do okay with that fat tuesday feast. Just remember that you have your banana bread to keep you satisfied.

Sharon, 40 minutes on that stepper!!! I bet your caboose is melting away!!! You don't want any of those evil foods to settle there again!! You just stick with that nummy banana bread - it tastes great and is on your plan!!

You can make it, Sharon!! :sunny:

Okay, time to check in here for me. I managed to avoid the Fat Tuesday celebration yesterday. I had a slice of my FF banana bread and then some veggies with dip and thats it!::yes:: But then I stopped to get the kids donuts at Dunkin Donuts. Low and behold, they had my FAVORITE kind - choc creme filled. They NEVER have that kind when I go in. In fact, they only had 1 of them this time. I cracked - I bought it and ate it. :o And it was good

Heres the dirty details:

100 oz water

B- 1 slice banana bread 1 pt
L- honey nut cheerios and Wendy's chicken strips 9 pts
S - Donut 8 pts
D - McDs grilled chicken salad 6 pts

After my run in with the donut, I decided I had better really behave for dinner. So I finished the day at 24 pts, which is target. It probably should have been lower for Wendie, but oh well.

Schedule was again a little crazier than I expected. I didn't get my exercise in. I WILL do the stepper tonight! I've got 40 min of my evening planned for that little bugger!:teeth:

Okay, this AM was weigh in. I had 173 on the scale!:hyper: i managed to get rid of last weeks 1.5 gain and an extra .5 lb, for a total loss on the week of 2 lbs! I am at 8 lbs gone in total. It is going very slow, but overall I'm headed in the right direction. I've been committed to this new WOE for 7 weeks now. The cravings are less, I make smarter food choices and I exercise regularly. I say that I am a success so far!:teeth:

have a great,:sunny: day everyone!

wahooo sharon, you did such a great job yesterday avoiding all that mardi gras food! and then today you've weighed in with a loss of 2 pounds for the week! :bounce: and 8 pounds total in 7 weeks is still great! :hyper: what wonderful news, i'm so proud of you :teeth:

and i'd like to say bravo for eating the donut too. it fit into your points, and i can tell you would have really regretted it if you didn't get it. so this is a good thing. if it's something you really really want (and this really really was), you just have to do it every once in a while. and like i said, it's not like you went over points. you did great :)

hope you have a great day today :sunny:

Great job Sharon!:Pinkbounc That is wonderful that you were able to avoid all of that different food at work yesterday. And as for the donut... I say enjoy it! You did 40 minutes on the *evil* stepper and you earned it in my opinion. Not only that, but you still fit it into your points range for the day! Plus, you had a loss of 2 pounds for the week! That is awesome!!!! Way to go Sharon and keep up the good work!!!!::yes::

Sharon, you're doing GREAT!! You're dropping in weight! You're managing to indulge once in a while AND stay within your points!! You are DEFINITELY succeeding!! :bounce: :bounce:

This is a way of life, and you WILL eat your most favorite treats once in a while. Working them into your points can be tough but you did it!!

I'm so happy that you avoided the stuff at the office and saved your indulgence for something you really LOVE! That's the way to stay healthy for a lifetime, Sharon!

Hope your day is filled with :sunny: !!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc WTG SHARON! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

You are doing an awesome job. Not eating things at the office and then indulging on something that you REALLY wanted is the way to do this long term. You even worked it into your points for the day. AMAZING! I've found if I deny myself of something I really want, I'll end up binging on other things later.

Buh-Bye 2 pounds. I know its not as fast as you would like, but you are making some awesome progress.
:sunny:
Beth

You are a success, Sharon! ::yes:: You are doing such a wonderful job! Wave bye bye to those two pounds! :wave2: It's great to be able to recover from a gain like that--Keep up the great work and you will see other pounds follow their lead! Have a wonderful evening! :sunny:

Sharon,

Its good to see someone who can indulge in things you really want but still stick to plan. I hope to eventually get to that point but for now I'm being kind of strict with what I eat just because I've been known to have little to no self control once I start on something "bad" Keep up the great work!!

Holly

Hi Sharon! That donut sounds heavenly - I would have eaten it too! :) Plus you managed to bring yourself back and stick to plan - good job! Life is about making choices we can't be expected to give up everything, just have things in moderation.

Hello everyone!:sunny:
Foodwise I had a very good day yesterday. I'm Catholic and fast on Ash Wed, so it was like a religious thing to behave yesterday!
Food for Wed was:

100 oz water
B - honey nut cheerios, 1 banana 4 pts
L- string cheese, kudos bar 4 pts
D - fish & chips 13 pts

No snacking allowed, so I kept it to 21 pts for the day. My target is now back down to 22 pts, so I was under it. I'm gonna go crazy with these pts changing. But, I'm not going to go back up to 175, so it won't be a problem any more!;)

I am ashamed to say I didn't exercise yesterday. I have no excuses, I just didn't. I need Marcia to come over and kick my butt now (instead of the scale!:o ) I ended up snoozing by 8:30pm. I really should have done the stepper instead, but didn't. I don't know why I do this to myself. The stepper could work great for me if I would just stick with it! I AM going to exercise tonight, I am going to exercise tonight, I am going......... Hold my feet to the fire please girls!!!

Thanks for all the positive feedback yesterday. I was feeling pretty guilty about that donut, but you guys are right. I still stayed within my pts and I probably would have binged on something else if I didn't get it. It is NOT something I can do all the time, but once in awhile its not so bad.::yes::

Oh, funny story for you all. My DS is QUITE the character. This am he was combing his hair (he's 6 yrs old). He asked me to help him with the gel. When I was done I said "oh Bobby, your so handsome!" He says "Yeah, there should be a law about being this handsome" :teeth: That boy just makes me laugh!!

Well have a great day everyone!:sunny: :wave2:

aw, how adorable is ds??? makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! i love little kids, they just make me smile :teeth:

and i'm on my way to kick your butt into gear! although, skipping one day is not so bad sweetie! but make sure you are back on that *evil* thing tonight. do it during friends! that will make the time flyyyyyyy by ::yes:: . i myself can't wait for nbc thursday night. although, i'm not happy about the apprentice being on, and scrubs now being on tuesdays. stupid apprentice  . oh well. back to topic...you WILL get on that nasty *evil* stepper tonight, or i will drive up to ct and make you

hope you have a wonderful day today :sunny:

K, this is me making you exercise! ;) Must see Thurs. is definitely a good way to pass the time while you conquer that *evil* thing! But, you should not feel bad for taking a day off; it's important to do so once in a while. I saw on the challenge check in that you lost a pound--WTG! And, no, you will not be going back up in points! Have a great night! TTYL :)

Sharon,

It's ok to not exercise every once in a while. At least you're doing it most of the time, I can't even say I'm doing it at all:blush:..not yet at least. That's great about your points dropping, that means your weights dropping!!! Keep up the great work!!

Holly

Yeah, taking one day off isn't bad, but I took two days off. Once I do that it is way to easy to skip a third and so on.....:(
I still have not exercised today. I am DISing while my dinner is in microwave. I just got home at about 7:15 pm. So, I'll eat a WW frozen Meal and then head up to the stepper by 8PM and watch Friends. Okay, that's my plan. Iwill exercise tonight, I will exercise tonight, I will............
Thanks guys!
