Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

Reading your post about not dancing made me so sad. I hope that we can all learn to be comfortable in our own skin regardless of our weight. We all have goals but we should be able to still be able to enjoy our lives on our way to those goals. That said- I know how you feel- I have missed out on a more than a few pool parties because of those same inhibitions.
Congrats on your excellent no-cheat percentage for April! Keep it up and have a great week!
Mary

Hi Sharon,

Your stats for April and incredible. WTG! You did a good job at the wedding. I'm sorry that you didn't feel comfortable enough to dance. If you love dancing, can you make that part of your exercise? Throw on some loud music and dance with the kids. You'll definately work up a sweat, and have a great time with the kiddies.

Have a good one,
Beth

Hi All! Thank you all for your posts and encouragement!! ::yes:: Don't feel bad that I didn't dance - I NEED to feel that way. Otherwise, if I am comfortable, I just go along, eating what I want, not caring. I need to feel uncomfortable in my own skin so that I DO something about it!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc I have been up and down with my weight so many times over the last 15 years. This is truly the longest I've stuck with anything (and also the longest it has taken to get any type of results!!) Don't worry - I'm gonna see this thing through and next time I'll be dancing!! :teeth:
Beth - no, can't dance with the kiddos. They think I am crazy and beg me to stop!! You'll see when Katie gets to about 8 or 9!
Today is a very busy one. I had to take my lunch hour at 9 AM this morning to go to a meeting at school for DS. He is 6 yrs old, in 1st grade. He has been in speech class last yr and this. They said he has progressed very well and is now all done with speech class. Yeah!!:hyper: Tonight I have to pick kids up from MIL's house and go straight to Tball game. Won't get home till about 7:30 PM. I brought a salad and yogurt for lunch today, so I am fairly well prepared. Don't know what I'll do about dinner. Maybe some leftover shrimp primavera? I have really been trying to stay away from processed foods. I don't always achiev that, but I try!
Goals:
1) vitamins - 3/3
2) blessings - 3/3
3) cheat free - 2/3
4) exercise - 0/3
I got very hungry last night, but I managed to stay out of trouble with some microwave popcorn. I'm not going to get the exercise in tonight again since we won't get home till after 7:30. That is exactly why I didn't put that goal number very high for this month!

Thank you again for all your support and encouragement. It means the world to me!!

:wave2: Hi Sharon,
Sorry I've been MIA. My computer got a nasty virus and I haven't been online since Friday. Yay for ds :Pinkbounc ! That's great that he doesn't need speech anymore :D .

I hope you have a wonderful day :sunny: !

Well, in case you don't notice, I'm sporting a new clippee!!!! After 17 weeks, I have finally been able to claim my 10 pound clippee!! I am very happy about that!
Everything else has been going well. I have stayed OP this week, despite being extremely hungry! I don't know why I'm so gosh darn hungry, but I am managing to stay away from bad stuff. Haven't gotten any exercise in at all. I have been pretty busy in the evenings with the kids and activities. Work has also been pretty hectic this week (hence my abscence from the boards!:( )
Goals:
1) vitamins 5/5
2) blessings 5/5
3) cheat free 4/5
4) exercise 0/5
I am going to have the surgery that I had put off last month done tomorrow. It is really no big deal, but I am not planning on getting a lot accomplished on Fri or Sat this week. We will see about exercise, depending upon how I am feeling.
So, I am feeling pretty confident because the scale has finally shown some movement in the right direction for me!:teeth: I hope everyone else sees good results this week too!!

CONGRATULATIONS SHARON! YOUR CLIPPIE IS BEAUTIFUL! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

:cheer2: Wtg Sharon. You earned that elusive clippie. You really are an inspiration to us. You have been so frustrated by your plateau, but you kept with it. Now you've got the clippie that you worked so hard for.

I know you say the surgery is no big deal, but I'll still send some :wizard: your way. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please let us know how it goes.

Congrats again,
Beth

Clippie Party!

Take care,

Hi all! Thank you so very much for the :wizard: and well wishes. All went well with my surgery. It did kick me a little harder than I expected, but I am 100% fine. Anyhow, I didn't go on the computer all weekend  , so here I am now.
Because of the surgery and not feeling 100%, I really didn't eat all weekend - well, at least not normally. The scale reflected that this morning and I was down another pound. While I know that it won't stick, it just makes me feel like I won't get stuck at another plateau right away. Maybe wishful thinking, but I'll take whatever I can get! :smooth:
Goals:
1) vitamins 8/9 - didn't take them Fri because of the surgery & no eating allowed
2) blessings 9/9
3) cheat free 8/9 :teeth:
4) exercise 0/8

I won't be getting to any exercise for at least a couple of days. Definitely not up to that yet. My DH bought the 6 second ab program. Once I am feeling better, I may take a stab at that. Looks like it should work pretty nice. Although my problem area really is my rear end, not so much my abs!
This week looks to be a little hectic. We are going to a dance competition in RI this weekend - that will be a challenge for me to stay OP. I also have a field trip with DS on Friday and the book fair at school on Thursday. That is all in addition to working, soccer practice, dance practice, laundry, cooking, packing....... Whew! I'm tired just thinking of everything I have to do this week!!
The sun is out today and it looks beautiful. I think I'll run out and get a salad for lunch. BTW, have you tried McDs new fiesta salad?! It is really quite good!:teeth:

Sharon- I hope you are feeling better- don't push yourself with excersise or otherwise. Your body needs a break.
HOORAY on that clippie- I know it was hard earned and well deserved!!!!!
Have a great Tuesday!

Hi Sharon! Glad to hear that your surgery went well! Take it easy until you feel better because you don't want to over do it and hurt yourself further.

Have a great day!

~Amanda

:wave2: Hi Sharon,
I see your still going strong with your goals, WTG :smooth: ! Give yourself some time after surgery and I'm sure you'll get back to your exercise. For now, you should be proud of yourself for rocking on all the other goals ::yes:: !

I haven't tried the new McD's salad. I really don't like lettuce so I don't do salads often but when I do try them I eat all the other veggies (strange I know  ).

Hope you have a wonderful sunny day with no T-storms :sunny: !

Hi Sharon,

I'm glad that your surgery went well. Listen to your body, and you will know when to start exercising. Great job with keeping OP.
Beth
