Sharks Underwater Grill

I understand that Sharks Underwater Grill only takes reservation after 10am on the day. I will admit, this makes me a little nervous. Is the reservations difficult to get? Is there a possibility that even if I go there at 10am, there will be a long line and I won't be able to get reservations for dinner?

We haven't been back to SW in years and I don't remember this restaurant the last time we were there. So, I know I sound a little too neurotic, but I was just wondering what your experiences are with getting a reservation on the day of.

Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm curious also. I am so used to making ADR's 180 days in advance at Disney and having everything planned out a year before we go. The thought of just going and seeing what happens frightens me. Who wants a relaxing vacation that is stress free and one that you don't have to run from ride to ride?

I had zero trouble getting a reservation the day of, and that was even when we waited to feed the dolphins first.

I was really nervous too, because we didn't want to miss feeding the dolphins but didn't know if we'd get our reservation. There were people in line for the dolphin feed that were sending family members to the restaurant which was making me even more nervous(I'm a single parent so that wasn't an option for me). As soon as we fed the dolphins (which is highly recommended ) we headed to the restaurant. There was no line, and they had plenty of spaces available for reservations. This was also on a Saturday before Memorial day.

Now when we got there, it was more crowded. But I asked when we showed up if we could have a seat right next to the glass and that was no trouble, though there isn't a bad viewing spot in the whole place to be honest. The food was pretty good too.

We've eaten there twice and didn't have reservations either time. We put our name on the list and within 5-10 minutes we were seated. I really wouldn't stress over this one. They seem to move people in and out of there pretty efficiently. On the other hand though, we were never rushed and leisurely enjoyed our meals both times. For park food, this is one of the better ones. I recommend it.

It's always good to read positive reports on restaurants that we would like to try out. I'm glad that you've enjoyed both your dining experiences at Sharks and look forward to trying it out for ourselves in October.

The park itself usually opens at 9, and the hostess station in front of Sharks opens at 10 to take reservations (which, to be clear, can only be made for that day). You can work your way over toward Sharks without having to run or stress, and make your dining reservation. Depending on the time of year you may be able to get a table just by walking up at the time you want to eat, but personally I find it easier just to go there in the morning and make the reservation.

I've been wondering about this too...

If we don't arrive at the park until late afternoon, will we have a hard time getting a dinner reservation for Sharks?

If we can't get in, where else should we eat that will be "special"?

We just ate there last week. Walked in at 545 and sat at the bar. Overpriced in my opinion.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay

We visited SeaWorld last Wednesday and kind of stumbled on this restaurant ie we hadn't made plans to eat here!! We walked up to the desk and were seated within 10 minutes.

It's a fantastic restaurant and kept us amused all lunchtime!! However, I do agree that it is way overpriced for nice but average food and you are certainly paying for the theme. Saying that, we would return.
