My husband is doing the shark dive. I have two small boys that are wanting to watch their dad. His dive is at 11:00 so I did not know if it would be better to make a reservation at the shark underwater grill and just enjoy lunch and watch. Any suggestions?

Also my husband has thought he had read on the boards that there is a picture CD of the dive included. Is that true? I was wanting to take some pics of him. So I was trying to figure out what would be the best thing to do.
Thank you for your suggestions

I am not sure if you can see the shark cage from the restuarant, but I do know that you can see it from the tunnel(The tunnel is between the 2)
You can take your own pics there also. Not sure on the Cd. Id have to ask the next time we go over.

Thank you for the information and checking out additional information. We are going to be there on my son's Make a Wish trip and I am trying to make it as special as I can for the boys and I am trying to figure the best place to view the dive for the boys.

To my knowledge you can see the shark cage from inside the Shark grill. Well you could about 5 years ago. So I am not sure if it changed. But since there is pretty much only 1 shark tank I imagine you should be able to see it from the Shark grill.

Good luck and have a great trip.

Welcome. I live about 30 minutes or so from the park and have an ap, so I can pretty much go when I want.
When are you planning your trip? This way I make sure I can get over there and find the answers to your questions before hand.
Just make a list and Ill see what I can do.

When I was over there abut 2 or 3 weeks ago with the kids( sharks is a must see for them), the cage was behind the clear plastic tube. The plastic tunnel is between the rest. and the actual cage, and with the angle everything is set at(cage being fairly high, rest down low) I am really not sure if you can see it from there.

Ill do some investigating hopefully this week.

First of all thank you so much for helping me out with this. We are going to be Sept. 10th. My main question is 1)Where is the best place to view the shark dive from? I have a 5 and 7 year old who want to view their dad who is participating in the dive. I did not know if the Underwater Shark Grill would be the best place or not. 2)I thought I had read on the boards but was not sure. Do they provide a CD with pictures on it after dive. That one is not very important. So the main thing is basically where is a good spot to view the dive if there is any. Thank you again for your help.

I believe there is a reserved area where friends and family can go. My DD and I did it in August but we didn't have anyone else with us so I'm not 100 percent sure. You could definitely see it from some parts of the restaurant as we had people waving at us.

Yes, you get a CD of photos included in the price. They don't do any underwater however; just as you are getting ready and after you come up. Still great fun and a wonderful experience!

Thank you somuch for the info.. My 7 year old really was excited about the CD he said I get to see pictures of Daddy getting ready and what all of that looks like. He wanted to see his dad looking like a scuba diver. He was disappointed that he was not going to see him. So telling him about the picture helped. So thank you for passing that along

Took a quick look at Sharks the other day.

If they hang the cage about 1/2 way in the tank, you can see it from the rest.Be one of the first to sign up in the morn. And tell the host that you are trying to watch.Theyll be able to help with table selection.

As far as the cd, they didnt know. I would bring my own camera just in case.I have seen the SW photographers in the tunnel taking pics, so thats another option.
