DD
(9) First trip to DW. She's been to DL 4 times but sadly is at the age where she's outgrown the princess however cant wait to see Mickey, Minnie and Donald. Thrill Ride Junkie and is now tall enough to ride everything 
DW (Nurse) and in desperate need of a vacation. Thrill ride junkie also.
Myself
I havent been to DW since I was a little boy so even tho' this will be short trip for me I'm super stoked to head down to the world. Thrill rides not so much but if I close my eyes I'm ok lol
Sadly I had meetings this week and could not head down to FL with my wife and daughter. I'm catching a flight tomorrow morning to join them for the weekend.
Monday morning (08/09/10) we were supposed to head off to the airport to pick up the rental car at 8:00. DW was up at 5:00 and ready to go and she hates getting up in the morning lol. DD wakes up around 6 and is bouncing off the walls ready to go. So we head out earlier than planned to pick up the rental car. We only live 10 minutes from the airport and with the express car pick up DW and DD were ready to hit the road in under 30 minutes.
They are off to FL and I'm off to work
After a 10 hour drive they arrive, DW calls to say they made it to the beach have an ocean view room and it's lovely. They are staying next to the pier at the Hilton. (pics to follow)
Tuesday morning (8/10/10) Day at the beach.
Now let me start off my saying that DD loves sharks. Loves seeing them at aquariums, loves shark week on Discovery, loves the movie Jaws and has seen it more times than I can count. But she asked on multiple occasions before they left will there be sharks close to beach. DW and I say ohh no DD no they wont get that close and you can play safely in the water all day if you want. (you know where this is headed). Now at home my DW and DD love to yell out shark, They get a kick out of it and DD thinks it's hilarious. So while DW is relaxing on the beach and DD is fighting the waves. She loves wave pools at water parks but says the ocean waves are much better because they dont stop for breaks like the water parks hahaha. All of a sudden a life guard starts yelling shark. DD does not notice she's too busy playing in the water. DW does however and starts yelling shark at DD. DD thinks DW is playing and starts giggling. Then DD notices the rest of the people on the beach freaking out and yelling at all the other people in the water and realizes it's not a joke. DW says she's never seen DD run/swim so fast in her life
I know it's not funny but yet it is. Sure enough DD gets back to the beach and they are looking out over the water, they see the dorsal fin of a shark and let me tell you my DW says she got an ear full from DD she was so mad and kept saying see I told you there would be sharks.
Up next does DD get back in the water and off to WDW day 1 check in a POP/Epcot and Cirque at DTD.
