Sharing TS meals (NOT on DDP)

I've read several posts where people don't get DDP because it's too much food and they prefer to share one entree at TS restaurants.

Is it easy enough to share a meal, or do some restaurants require everyone to order something? I know around here, lots of restaurants frown upon sharing so I had assumed that Disney would be the same. :confused3

I've never done the dining plan because we stay at Shades of Green. I have found that all the Disney restaurants are VERY flexible and I don't think you have any problem splitting an entree.

We were hoping to do this too. We are not on the dining plan because it seemed like too much food. I don't need a big meal every night. We made TS ADRs for every evening, but I am planning to share entrees with my Mom, or maybe just get a couple appetizers.

We usually get 2 appitizers 1 entree & 1 dessert for 2 people to share. We find this works very well. (not on DDP) :hippie:

We share meals too. We have had the DP the past two trips and have decided for our next one, we are not going to get it. There is just too much food for us so we will be sharing. Except when you go to a buffet, it is not a problem to share, and some resturants split the meal for you or bring an extra plate.

We have done this many times at many Disney restaurants. We are just not huge eaters, love to have dessert and just don't have room if we each order an entree. I think it is a fairly normal thing for the CMs. :)

Yes, my sister and I split meals all the time on our Dec. trip together, and my DH and I have done so also on many occasions. The portions at wdw are much larger than what we are used to eating, so this is the only way we can make headway on the food. In almost all cases, the food has come from the kitchen plated seperately and attractively garnished. It has never been a problem--we have never been made to feel uncomfortable, and we have never encountered any resistance from the waitstaff.
