Sharing the pics of the Epcot passport I made for GS

I think I found some pages in Natalie's Photobucket. But I have put various other pages in my Photobucket - http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u296/Dibber1/

I sprayed the pages with Crafter's Companion Spray & Shine to give them protection. The printer ink will run if it gets wet, i.e. rain or sticky sweaty fingers. On the tin it says "Similar protective and preservational qualities to a layer of glass".

The passport ID page is the one after the front cover.

I used MS Word to make the passport. I inserted a picture and using "picture tools" I put it in the centre top of the page, then I resized the picture to 4" x 4". For the rectangular pages, I had to uncheck "Lock aspect ratio" and "Relevant to original picture size", to enable a square page to be formed.

Enjoy making them! I had a ball. In fact, someone has asked me to make two for her grandchildren.

I would really love to see photos of yours when they are done.

Firstly, your passport looks FAB!
Secondly, roughly how much did it cost to make, and also how long did it take to make?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the compliment. I am glad you like it.

The cost was about £1 (UK sterling) for the cardstock, I am guessing at about £1 for the printer ink and £3.50 to have it bound at Staples. I chose a binding that would enable the passport to be folded back completely and this was slightly more costly than a comb binding. So total cost about £5.50.

Once I had sorted out how to accurately do back-to-back printing, it was not long at all - about 30 mins for the printing. Then, my DH took about another 30 mins to do the trimming (2 passport pages each side of one A4 sheet of cardstock), then the time taken getting to Staples and back.

That's cheaper than I would have thought. Don't suppose u fancy making me one, if your making another 2 anyway? Yours look so professional and I would have a hard time doing one without the boys seeing it (they don't know we are going yet!) Obviously I would pay p & p, plus another £5 on top for your time? Let me know.

Wow! They look so professional, you'd never believe they cost so little! I'd love to make something similar (or commission you to make one for me??). Do you have a link to "Natalie's photobucket"? So that I can try and make one myself.

Thank you
Best wishes

Most of the pages were from Otterpop but you will find the rest in here: - http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u296/Dibber1/

Thanks for the inspiration Sues Mum. And special gratitude to Otterpop, Natalie and Dolly for their design creativity. These are passports I made for my DGD and DGS. And Dolly's travel journal was awesome. She has saved it in Word so it was easy to edit for our upcoming trip. I've also included a pic of the free StarTours passport available at startourspassport.com. in case some of you weren't aware of it. Great thing about the passports and journal: they were VERY inexpensive to have bound at Staples... less than $5 for the journal, including mylar front cover, and vinyl back cover. The passports cost even less. I took Sue's Mum advice and sprayed the passport pages with a clear acrylic sealer I had hanging around. Can't wait for the kids to use these in June!

Thanks for showing us your passports and journals. I especially like the passport page "Today I embark ..........".
