My 14 year old dd is very tiny and petite she is not picky in eating but nearly eats anything! How strict is Disney about sharing a plate with the ts dining plan at places that are not buffet? On the dining plan does everyone have to eat at the table or could she just order and app and we pay out of pocket?

At most places you will be able to order her a appy OOP, no problem.

But remember if she isn't using her credits they will be left over at the end of the trip.

Have a great trip!

If you're going to pay cash for her a la carte meals you can come up with another meal so that the other adults in your party can use her leftover credits. This would be a better value than leaving them unused or using them to buy children's meals or appetizers for her.

We share meals all the time on the DDP. You should not have a problem sharing if you choose. Ordering just an app is also no problem.
