Sharing my good news.

I need to share with someone and can't do it yet with my family and friends, so I thought I'll share with my DIS friends.

My youngest son is going to pop the question to his high school sweetheart, maybe as early as this coming weekend. He called last night about engagement rings and the best place to purchase one. According to him lots of guys now a days purchase them online. Makes us kind of nervious purchasing online but it's his decision. We told him what we thought, but once again it's his decision. Hopefully when it arrives it's ok and not a fake. I'm so excited for him, he's been dating her now for about 5 years and they truely love each other. He didn't want a long term engagement but decided it's ok to be engaged long term. He wants to wait till she graduates college which is about another 4 years since she's only a freshman. He graduates in December.

I want to tell my mom so bad, but I can't until he ask his girlfriend first. I'm about ready to bust, that's why I came here, I needed to share my news with someone. Thanks for letting me share my good news.

Thanks for the offer Nancy, but I believe he ordered it last night. They are taking a bus trip to New York this weekend from her school and I think that's where he is planning to ask her, we will see.

We just spoke with our son. He's now engaged. Yesterday her school took a bus trip to New York City. While in NYC my DS, his DGF and her friend went to Central Park. While in Central Park they decided to have her friend take a photo of the two of them sitting on a rock overlooking the pond. That's when he decided to pop the question. Things got even better, there was a professional photographer at the same location and he took their photo at the same time he pulled out the ring to ask her to marry him. Can't wait too see the photos, he's going to email them to my DS. My DS said it was priceless, the look on her face, she was so surprised. My DS the romantic.

No, I haven't seen the ring, maybe next weekend. My son did say that it looks better then he thought it would and his DGF told him it was perfect.
