Sharing Memory Maker

We are headed to Disney the first week of May. My parents are coming with us. My brother, who is currently deployed, and his family were also supposed to go, but we just found out last night that he is not going to be back from Afghanistan in time. He is in the process of switching his trip to the second or third week of June. For a variety of reasons, it's not feasible for the rest of us to switch with such late notice.

I've purchased Memory Maker for the trip. I've read that it's possible to share MM over multiple trips, and I'm hoping someone can explain the details because for whatever reason, it's just not clicking. Here's what I read on another site: "You can take pics for up to 30 days after the first time you download a photo to your account and then Memory Maker photos must be downloaded within 45 days of the first day you download pics (translation: if you time it right, you could get up to 75 days of use out of Memory Maker)."

So if we start taking pictures on May 1, how do I time this so that my brother's trip is covered? Let's assume his trip ends on June 20th. TIA!

If you dont download your pictures right away it may work, my understanding is if you dont download right away you can add for 45 days but he needs to be lnked to your MDE

We used MM for 2 trips spanning about 7 weeks last summer. MM only entitles you to 30 days of downloads. The pictures in your account are good for 45 days from the date they are taken. So go on your trip. Come home and work on making edits to your photos. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE PHOTOS yet!. Wait until the photos in your account are about to expire before starting to download them. They give you 45 days, but I started downloading them a day or two early just in case there would be any issues. After the first day you download pictures, you have 30 more days to take more pictures and download them. So (think this will be accurate, but double check dates because I don't want to be responsible for you losing pictures!) if you start your trip on May 1, 45 days out would be June 14, which is when your photos would start expiring. If you start downloads on June 14, you would still have 30 more days to take pictures and download them, giving you until July 14 to make edits on your brother's pictures and download them. Your pictures will start disappearing from your account on day 45, so you need to make sure that you have all of your edits done before then. Your brother's pictures will remain in the account after downloading privileges have expired so you need to make sure that you get them edited and downloaded in time.

Can I have pictures from both Disney World and Disney Land on one MM? I am going to Disney World for the Expedition Everest Challenge (April 30 - May 3) and then to Disney Land for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon (may 7-11). I wasn't going to buy MM for but if I can use it for both it might be worth doing.

Memory Maker is only offered at WDW. Disneyland does not use the MDE/Memory Maker programs.

Is there a Memory Maker expert out there who can clarify which is correct - this poster's scenario or what I believed it to be?

This poster is saying that once you start to download photos, you have 30 more days to collect and download photos.

My understanding was that all photos expire after 45 days. So once you start to download photos, you would have 30 days to collect photos, but each of those would still be available for downloading for 45 more days.

Which is it? Man, why is this so confusing?

Can everyone linked to your account download the photos? If myself and three friends split the cost of 1 package can we all access and download the photos?

No, only the person who purchases the package will have access to download photos.

So question, my group is going in 2 G1 nov8-14,G2(me) 11-18, G1 got MM BUT ordered with their room can we still share? or would she have to cancel it and rebuy with an empty cart?

Just make sure you link up as friends in MDE.

it will still allow us with different dates? even though she bought it with her room?
