Can anyone tell me if sharing meals at a sit down restaurant is allowed? We are not on the DDP for part of our trip, mostly because it's just too much food for us for an entire week...our stay is split so we could do this. Anyway, at counter service restaurants my daughter and I often split a meal because both of us try to save calories, and we're never that hungry at one time...we're kind of grazers. Anyway, we are not trying to be cheap (we always tip well) we just don't like to waste food. We were hoping that we could share on the days that we're not using DDP if we are not hungry enough to eat an entire meal each. Thanks.

My sister and I share all the time. It's never been a problem. We've even shared plain old sandwiches at the Plaza and Sci-Fi Dine-In. And we always get a dessert after since we have room

You may not share at buffets or family-style fixed price restaurants. Anywhere else it's up to the restaurant and most if not all of them appear to allow it. The only second plate charge I've heard of is for Shula's.

We have often shared meals in the past, it was never a problem. Sometimes they even split the meal in the kitchen and serve it on two different plates! :goodvibes I always tend to tip a bit better when we share to compensate for the lower price of the meal.

I was aware that you could not share when going to a buffet...we save those for the days we are on the DDP. I just wasn't sure about the other restaurants....Thanks for the info.
