Sharing meals...where?

I am thinking of doing the sharing meals route. Here are the places we are going that we could possibly share meals. By looking at Deb's site I was able to see what they offer, but I don't know about portion size and what would be ok to share? There will be my dh, myself and 2 dd's...11 and 7

We had lunch at Sci-Fi last week. Hubby and I told the server we'd like to split the black forest ham sandwich and get fries instead of chips. They brought out two plates - each with half a sandwich and fries (and pickle). The sandwich was HUGE - no way could I have eaten it by myself - so half of it was just right!

It's a bit tougher to split a meal at the counter service restaurants but we've done it. Also, we've often ordered 2 or 3 meals for myself, hubby, DS15 and DD13 and we all have tried a little of each. This works well when you just can't decide on one meal because a couple different ones look good.

One more tip for Flame Tree BBQ. We wanted to eat here but there is no air-conditioned seating and it was HOT that day. We ordered our food, took the trays it was served on and walked back to Pizzafari, which was not busy at the time. Besides, my daughter wanted a pizza instead of Flame Tree food. This worked out great for us!

At Cosmic Ray's, my sister and I split an order of rotisserie chicken and potatoes. Then we bought something else (I forget what) as an extra side dish to share. We had plenty to eat, saved some money, and it was delicious!

At Sci-Fi, we agreed that we could have easily split a sandwich and an order of fries. The helping was huge, as DoeWDW said! But we had decided to eat different things.

Can't really help you with the other places.
