I am wondering:confused3... if you are paying oop for all your meals, can two people order one meal and share? I am not talking about special 'character meals' but rather restaurants that have separate items (like 50's Prime Time Cafe)?

We occassionally do this, but order an additional side. If you are looking for a meal that is big enough to share go to Cosmic Rays at the MK and order the chicken and ribs combo plate. That's a lot of food!

My wife and I will never go back to Cosmic Rays. We believe that the food at Cosmic Rays is the worst of any location at DW. Lots of food, but not very good. We may be impartial and expecting too much however since we are from KC and cannot get too enthused about the ribs served in Florida.

You can absolutely share! Today at Sci Fi DH and I split a burger and fries, and the girls split the Italian chicken sandwich and the artichoke dip, and they brought them out already split on separate plates! I was thrilled, because they don't always do that.

In many cases, 1/2 is just the right amount, as I hate walking around the parks after a heavy meal. I've never been to a restaurant that hasn't accomodated this - we usually eat at Sci Fi at DHS, Plaza at MK, and Chefs or Le Cellier at Epcot.

The last time I was at Cosmic Rays, I was chaperoning the 7th grade band trip - such horrible memories I get a headache looking at the place, LOL!

I can't imagine a bunch of 7th graders on a band trip!:scared1: I was a chaperone last year in Orlando with teenage boy scouts which was challenging enough!

Absolutely. My DD & I just did this at most of our meals in April, including Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time, Chefs de France, Jiko, and Rose & Crown. The portion sizes at WDW are just too big for us both, and splitting the meals really worked well.:)

We share everywhere. AT TS, they will either split it in the kitchen or you can ask for an extra plate. At CS, we ask for an extra plate-even if we are just sharing a dessert. We have never had a problem doing this at WDW or anywhere else we dine.

I totally agree about Cosmic Rays!! My family and I had a bad experience with Cosmic Rays and will NEVER return there again!!:sad2:

I have 2 kids and when we order cs meals we get the double cheeseburger and order a second bun. The bun usually costs around $1.00 and then you have 2 cheeseburgers. This is a great way to make the most of your cs meals.

DW and split all the time. WDW gives you ample portions. My feeling is why go around stuffed and miserable.

I know when we ate at WDW last year the portions were huge! Always more food than we could eat.

Part of why I would like to share are the huge portions... another is with 5 princess:pirate:pirate:princess:princess: in our family, we have a limited $$$ for food and if we can share, we can experience more restaurants while we are there (and maybe less fast food!)

We are getting excited about the food... and we have 10 months until we go!

My husband and I split meals all the time. We have never had a problem. Even in the signature restaurants we will share an appetizer, a meal, and then a dessert. Depending on the meal, sometimes they will split it for you and sometimes they will bring an extra plate.

Wife and I share every meal, portions are too big for us and nothing is worse than walking around in the sun, stuffed. One reason we do not do any dining plan. Lunches are picnics at resort pool with groceries from our in route stop, love homemade sandwiches and drinks at the pool, we rarely spend 30 bucks a day on food and WDW is all about the resorts and parks, not the food.

We're planning on splitting three counter service meals between the four of us, plus one infant, then having our table service meal each at dinner-time. hoping this will be enough as my husband is worried he will go hungry!

if he wants more, add a soup or slad or a yummy snack out in the park. No reason to ever go hungry at disney!

DS and I have done it plenty of times while not on the dining plan. We also used an AP discount with not problem while splitting!
