Without using any kind of dining plan, of course:

1. Are the portions at 50's Prime Time and Sci Fi large enough to share between two people?

2. Do they charge extra for sharing?

The portions are big to me but I don't know what your appetites are like. There is no charge for sharing food at any Disney World restaurant except Shula's.

If you want to share something, just tell your server and more than likely, it will be split in the kitchen. I will warn you that you are probably going to get half the entree but an almost full serving of whatever side is included. So if you go the steak at 50s Prime Time, you'd get half the steak and almost the full serving of the scalloped potatoes and also of the green beans.

Great, thanks! Several small meals are suitable for us. We hate walking around stuffed and sleepy...

DH and I shared the fried chicken dinner at 50's PT without a problem. We ordered one appetizer to share, then shared the chicken dinner (he ate the two pieces of dark meat, I ate the breast, and we shared the sides). It was more than enough for the two of us and we didn't feel overly stuffed. We also made sure to tip a little more because even though we only ordered one meal, our server took good care of two of us! :)
