Has anyone had experience with adults sharing entrees at the WDW restaurants? We eat smaller meals 5-6 times a day to control blood sugar issues and usually DH will order an appetizer and then we share the entree. Wondering if we can do this.

I almost always share an entree with my sister. Otherwise it's too much food! Occasionally we order extra side dish of the vegetable, if one is offered, but the meat and fish portion sizes are too much for us to eat alone. Sometimes they split the meals in the kitchen, and sometimes they just bring out an extra plate and we do it ourselves at the table.

At Le Cellier, wifey gets a salad, grilled asparagus and cheese soup, I get the NY Strip Steak, 14 oz the last we were there, we ask for an extra plate and share. We just can't pack away the food like we used to, it's not the $$, Disney ain't cheap, but we get way more than we can comfortably eat.

We always split. The portions are out of control IMO. Even splitting we usually don't clean out plates. Depending on the menu we will sometimes make meals of sides and apps too.

Thanks for all the replies ~ remembering from past visits, the portions are fairly large and it's not like you are at a restaurant near home and can take the left overs with you, so this is perfect.

You can definitely split. We split with our teenagers there's so much food. Plus, who wants to be stuffed while touring? Now for our TS, we each get our own meal but that's toward the end of the day.

My in-laws do it all the time - we've never had as much as an eyebrow raised. Buffets require each diner to pay the full cost.
