Sharing CS meals

Another thing to consider is when at World Showcase, both of you don't have to eat at the same place. You can each get your own meal and then sit down at the last place you visit. For example - when my son was with us, he wanted the nachos from Mexico, I wanted the pot stickers and egg rolls from China, and my husband wanted a burger from America. So, the son got his nachos and carried the tray out and we all walked to China where I got my stuff and then we all walked to America and sat outside while my husband went in for his burger.

On another trip, we were eating outside at America (again) but it was just the two of us. We were next to a couple of people who were assembling about four tables and chairs up for what appeared to be a large group. We overheard them talking and saying "this person was going here and that person was going there, etc." It turned out to be about 13 people in total and we found out each person had an assigned country and went to get at least one dish for it (or beverages or desserts). Then they all brought their food back to America (yes, they did buy things from inside) and shared everything. It was like a perfect counter service meal served buffet style.

If Disney Springs is in your plans you can easily share a meal at Wolfgang Puck Express Marketplace. Regrading TS we have shared lunch at Mama Melrose and you can easily do so at 50s Prime Time but 50's PTC may not qualify for healthy;)

Having gone with a roommate with an AP for a couple of years, our go-to meals to share were the club sandwich (ask them to heat it) from the Norway bakery w/school bread & the turkey sandwich from Sunshine Seasons with strawberry shortcake. They may not necessarily be the most healthy options on the menu, but split between two & with all the walking you do in the parks, I never felt overly full or bad about choosing them. We also have enjoyed the grilled veggie sandwich from Backlot Express in HS.

Don't forget that there are food kiosks at Epcot for Flower and Garden during that time too, so you guys can get smaller little plates from various countries to sample. The menus from these places last year look pretty yummy, and definitely healthier than burgers and fries for the most part!

Great ideas! I didn't realize there were special food kiosks for food and garden too!

One more thing to add: if you want to just get the sandwich or the entree only with no sides, tell the cashier as you order. It saves some money & you don't feel guilty wasting the fries which IMO are not as good since they've made the switch to the shoestring type & not worth the calories.

My DH and I split a foot long hotdog from Min & Bill's Dockside Diner in HS on our last trip. It was HUGE. Plenty for both of us. And of course you could split a funnel cake (near Min & Bills). The new CS Harambe Market in AK (near the safari & Tusker House) has a rib platter that is gigantic. DH said he would order the kids size one if he ever went again. But that's plenty to share too. Pizzafari changed their menu so we didn't go there this last time (they removed a sandwich I used to always get) but they still have individual pizzas you could share if you're not super hungry.

I don't remember seeing food kiosks at Flower & Garden like at F&W but I agree that you could easily share something from Tangeriene Cafe (it's one of our fav places). You can also ALWAYS ANYWHERE just ask for a cup of ice water and any place will give it to you (rather than paying $3 or whatever for a bottle of water).
