Hello Everyone! We are considering making an ADR for the 50's Prime Time Cafe. We will be traveling with a 2 year old with a very hearty appetite who obviously cannot participate in the dining plan with us. Are the meals at the Prime Time Cafe (specifically the pot roast meal) large enough to share and still satisfy a hungry 2 year old and an adult (me) with a pretty healthy appetite? Thanks!

I felt the portion sizes at Prime Time were standard restaurant sizes. I would ask, do you normally eat everything on your plate when dining out or is there leftover. If there is normally leftover then you should be fine feeding DD off your plate, if not order a kids meal or even an appetizer for the table to share in order to have enough to split your meal with her.

We find the fried chicken to be the only shareable meal at the 50s PT. We always buy the little ones their own meals here. Our last trip when the GD was 15 mo. old, we bought her her own entree. You don't have to buy the entire kids' meal, you can buy a la carte. The pot roast is a standard portion which is sitting on top of the mashed potatoes -- IMHO, it is not shareable at all. Our 2 granddaughters eat well and the almost 4 YO has no problem eating the kids meal which includes chicken noodle soup, normally a pizza (always her choice) and desert. The almost 2 yo eats more than big sister, but is latose intolerant and will need her own meals.

I would say it depends on you. I always get the Pot Roast but rarely finish it.

I believe that the serving size of the Fried chicken at 50's has been decreased from 3 pieces to 2. I think other portion sizes are also smaller.
I would most probably either purchase an appetizer to go with my meal, or buy a Childs meal for your DD.
Have a Great Trip.

I just wanted to say have a great time, have fun and enjoy in your upcoming trip. Looking forward in hearing more from you after you came back.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

Hi

Hope this will help. On a recent visit to 50s Prime Time, I had the pot roast, and my wife and daughter shared a pot roast also. The server asked if she should split their meal in the kitchen and they agreed. When the food came, their "half portions" were almost as big as my full portion!

Hope you have a great meal.

Rich

I will definitely ask to have my meal split. Thank you all so much for your responses.
