Actually, I didn't. I was pulling your leg.
The 29% is Bush's approval rating in the latest NY Times/CBS News poll.

You can't make this stuff up.
Ta Ta.
Ah, well, turnabout is fair play I guess. I too was engaging in a little leg pulling. I knew where the number came from and I'll get back to that number in a second but first, why did you play the Bush approval card? We're talking about the political parties sharing power, not President Bush. Anytime someone says Republican, you automatically yell, "29%!" You do remember this poll don't you? It's the one you voted "shared power, one party shouldn't control everything" so you could pretend to look non-partisan but that was only because Democrats didn't control anything and you were just hoping for a piece. Now that you think Democrats can take everything, you blame that shared power vote on a drunken stupor. "I didn't really mean it."
And about that 29%, I'm sure you realize there are several polls by several sources regarding Bush's job approval, is there a coincidence you automatically pick the lowest? Here's one that shows 38% http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Bush_Job_Approval.htm
Here's one with 34% http://www.srbi.com/TimePoll4071-Final Report-ALL-2007-02-27-5.00pm.pdf
Of course all of those numbers are dismal and there are many good reasons why they are but you don't get to choose the worst just to try to make a partisan point. Unless of course you want to become irrelevant.
But since you're stuck on 29%, I'll throw a number out to you, 30%. From one poll, that's how many people think the Democrats are doing a better job so far. A 30% approval rating. http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/030107_Bush_Iraq_Iran_web.pdf
Well the numbers don't lie. 30% is better than 29%.
