In 13 days, DH and I and the kids will be going on the Sunrise Safari, a special tour of Kilamanjaro safari in AK available to AKL concierge guests.

Of course, being a food-ie (hence why I'm always on the restaurant boards) I'm very excited about the breakfast they serve at Tusker House afterward. I've watched Samantha Browns adventure on Great Hotels doing this about fifty times in the last month with the kids...we are all gearing up.

SO EXCITED!!!

Other food adventures, big and small I'm looking forward to are:

Vanilla Donut rings at the BW Bakery
Coffee smoothies from Adventureland in MK
Capuccinos from AKL concierge
Anything from California Grill
Breakfast with Cinderella (esp. the health b'fast of yogurt and granola, YUM)
Hot dogs from BW to go
Sundaes at Beaches and Cream (maybe we'll do the kitchen sink this time)

I can't wait...and of course I will give a detailed report when I get back....

Please share your upcoming adventures...

August, I have lots of ps's made and I can't wait. Most of these I have never been to before and am really looking forward to it. We're staying lodge concierge at the GF, so I intend to make the most of the yummy cookies, sandwiches and the afternoon tea when I get the chance.

Here's what I have booked so far

Narcoosee's- dinner,
Ohana character breakfast
California Grill- dinner
Rainforest cafe at AK lunch
Citrico's dinner (can't wait for the lamb shank!)
Teppanyaki grill dinner
Brown Derby Fantasmic package
Flying Fish dinner

Now what am I missing? Anywhere else we should be trying (we're real foodies and love a good restaurant).

Great thread! :D

On our August trip we are doing most of the same old stuff, but bringing new people with us. I am looking forward to trying the new menu at Mama Melrose. It used to be one of our favorites, but when we went last year the menu had just been changed and we were disappointed. I see its been changed a little again since, so we are trying again. Im also looking forward to my favorite, Beef Terryaki at Kona Cafe.

For our Dec trip I hope to try a few new things. Ohana and Le Cellier for dinner and Boma for breakfast will all be new to us. I keep hearing rave reviews about them all so, I cant wait to see(or taste) for myself.

We are extra excited this year (Aug 23-30) because we are bringing friends with us who have never been to disney! We will be doing these new things:

Dinner at ESPN - both husbands are sports nuts, & when they are excited about something, it makes it more fun for the wives!
Dinner at GF - Cinderella's Gala Feast - decided on going with this instead of waking at the crack of dawn to MAYBE get CRT
Dinner at O'Hana's - never been to Poly - heard good things about the whole experience
Character Breakfast at Beach Club - Goofy's Beach Party - how bad can this be - sounds like alot of fun

Also going to a water park which we have never done.....planning on doing only one EE.....this trip will be much more relaxing than our first comando style vacation....."stop & smell the roses" will be my motto.....thanks for letting me share!

Erikarate, you will LOVE the Sunrise Safari! The breakfast was the best we had, so many wonderful foods! And the concierge lounge had excellent goodies all day long!

we are leaving tomorrow morning:bounce: :bounce: Here's where we'll be eating:

Tomorrow night at California Grill

Dinner at Ohana's

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's

Dinner at Rose and Crown

Lunch (twice :D ) at 50's Prime Time

Lunch at Le Cellier

And our traditional "Snack around the World", where I let the kids eat whatever they want in Epcot:D

Sounds GREAT everyone...

Yes I sometimes think it's a little sad how much I look forward to EATING around the World...but I work very hard at eating healthy and exercising at home...it's a real treat to allow myself many "no-no's"...

kteacher...we also allow the kids to eat whatever (within reason) when we're at WDW. After all they're on vacation too.:p

Suedrews...I too think it's important to smell the roses. Scheduling things is good, but there is a point of over-doing it. Last summer I made too many PS's and there were times we just wanted a break from a sit-down meal...like a hot dog on the BW or a burger from Pecos Bill or something, or even skip dinner and just have an ice cream!!!

Coffee Smoothies??!! Where does one find those? This I must try.

At the sunshine tree terrace in Adventureland in MK. They are like coffee ice cream milkshakes....WAY better than a frappucino from Starbucks. It is DH and I's little secret...though not anymore, except to friends at the DIS...

We're leaving on Mon. and staying at the WL for the 1st time. We have PS for:

L'Originale Afredo's
Hoop Dee Doo
Fulton's
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Pkg.)
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Cape May Cafe (breakfast)
Maya Grill
Yachtsman Steakhouse

Erikarate - have fun on the sunrise safari - it is the only reason to get so early while on holiday! The breakfast afterwards is excellent.

We are looking forward to lots of relaxation this trip and not so much park time.

This is our first time trying Stormalong Bay :)

Special things we have booked this trip are a scavenger hunt from Gifts of a Lifetime at the world showcase, an illuminations cruise on Breathless and the sunrise safari at AKL.

Foodwise - I am looking forward the trying the grapefruit cake at the HBD, Chef Mickey's for the 1st time and all that meat at "Ohana.

Drinks - ummm maybe just a margarita a day - have to keep my wits about me travelling solo with my DD9.

Have fun everyone

>>^..^<<

Coffee smoothies?? Oh yeah. I can have my Dole Whip and dh can try a coffee smoothie. We're looking forward to some of the same places we have loved in the past....CRT for breakfast, 50's Prime Time, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. We will be giving Liberty Tree Tavern a shot, also Garden Grill, Donald's Breakfastasaurus, 'Ohana for breakfast and maybe a dinner, Kona for that terriyaki beef, Luau and the Backyard BBQ. Oh yeah. Princess Storybook Breakfast. My word...we're going to need a diet when we get back!!! Can't wait for my Kona coffee and my Dole Whip!!! No, not together you guys!!!

We're at WDW in August, staying at the BWV, from 3rd to the 10th.

I have PSs for:

Flying Fish
Narcoosees
Citricos
Brown Derby (Fantasmic package)
Hoop de Doo Revue

I also plan on dining at Rose and Crown, Chefs du France, and Teppanaki (sp?), but have not yet made priority seatings for those restaurant.

Of course, no trip to WDW is complete without having a Dole Whip (or two). :D

we are planning a birthday trip in september for my husband's 53 b-day. he has chosen victoria and albert to celebrate. we have dined at the chef's table here twice, but this trip we are in the main dining room. also on the agenda is a trip over to fort wilderness for breakfast at trail's end, dinner at GF at cinderella's dinner, rose/crown(a first for us) and a return trip to lecellier. as these are mostly dinner, lunch will be counter service. we are staying at the VWL on points. if anyone has eaten in celebration, please share your meals and thoughts. we are spending 2 nights there before moving on to VWL. thanks and happy eating!!:p

Just Mom and I are going this October. My husband and I, our two kids, my parents and my mother in law were there for 10 days in March. Anyway, we are very excited about doing the world as just us girls. We used to go to DL once or twice a year while I was in college and we had so much fun together. Anyway here is where we plan on eating:

Repeats visits to:
**Whispering Canyon Cafe- dinner
**Cape May Cafe- second time for me, 1st for mom (She and Dad went to Fulton's while the rest of us went here one night)
** Cosmic Rays? (it's penciled in)

First time visits to:
**California Grill (arrival night)
**Yakitori House
**Beaches and Cream
**Tusker House
**Cinderella's Royal Table- lunch
**50's Prime Time
**Norway for a sandwich and sweet pretzel

Snacks I want to try this time: the sweet pretzel mentioned above, a turkey leg for a light lunch (we would share it), some sort of pastry from the Boardwalk Bakery- I watched that UnWrapped show on the Food Network and I must go there to get something!!

I can't wait!

Hello - Reading everyone's plans gets me fired up!
After finally getting our hotel plans committed - Swan & GF (SL concierge) I have been having fun planning & researching our eating options. We have a few PS's
CRT for dinner
LTT for dinner
Le Cellier for lunch
That's it for PS's so far.

We are also looking forward to a turkey leg at MK. Big Malt at Plaza, a dessert treat at Aunt Pollys, lots of great snacks at Epcot.

I can't believe it almost only one month away! WOW!!!!!

My DH, DD (4) and I are really excited about November's trip because we're going with my parents (1st-timers) and my in-laws (went once in 1981)! I tried not to book too many PS's, but there are so many places we want them to experience, plus we want to try some new places ourselves!!

Been to these:
- GF Cafe (wonderful lunch)
- Restaurant Marrakesh (my Mom will love this place)
- Cape May Cafe character breakfast (DD's favorite)
- San Angel Inn (love the atmosphere)
- Mickey's 50's PTC (the parents will get a kick out of this)

New for this trip:
- Liberty Tree Tavern
- Boma for breakfast
- Biergarten for dinner (in-laws ate here in 1981)
- Kona Cafe for breakfast (must try Tonga Toast!)
- Crystal Palace for character breakfast and dinner
- 'Ohana for our last night's dinner

We usually have a small snack for lunch and leave some mornings free to see what we're in the mood for or to grab something quick. Sometimes we feel like skipping the dinner PS, but I like to have them anyway.

November seems so far away...:( ;)

I visit WDW twicw a year and this next trip, in 109 days, will be my best! It will be me, my husband, son, daughter-inlaw , her parents and my beautiful granddaughter. Madyson will only be 11 months old at the time, but her father has been dying to take her. We are staying at the BWI concierge, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Jackie in the lounge is the best!!! The only PS we have is the Princess breakfast in Norway. We may split up for other meals. There are some places I want my husband to try. I go in the early spring with 'the girls" I work with at TDS and we always try new places to eat. Jimmy and Carri will be flexible because of Madyson. I can't wait to go and see her face at everything.

FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIDAY!

Sat. - dinner at Tony's
Sun. - dinner at Citricos
Mon. - dinner at Jiko
