I absolutely love the Animation Academy at Hollywood Studios! I thought it would be fun to see each other's artistic creations. Here are some of mine from over the years....

This is great! Is this something anyone can do or do you have to pay extra?

After all those years of doing my annual trips, I had never done this until last year. Here I was - a 58 year old woman, with a tear in my eye - all because I really, REALLY drew something! It was so delightful!

Hmm. Maybe... Usually, I'm doing pretty darned good just to draw flies.

Our family loves this attraction, and while our artwork is not able to be scanned and shared here, a good story is:

While we (me, DH, DS10, DS6) had done the class before, in 2008 we brought my parents along and enjoyed a winnie the pooh drawing class. At the end of the class, I collected the artwork for the 6 of us to roll up, pack and save. My father watched as everyone handed their paper to me, looking a bit uncomfortable. I thought maybe he was just embarrassed that his didn't look as good as he'd like. Nope, he hadn't realized that you were supposed to lay a paper across the backlit board and had drawn his character right onto the desk. We tried to be sincere as we apologized to the CM at that attraction, but we were fighting hysterical laughter and couldn't keep it together as we explained the situation. He was mortified, but now laughs as hard as we do when we recall the story.

Aww, too funny! Was there not a sheet of paper there when he sat down??
