Share Discounts, Let's Save Our Pennies for DisneyWorld

I have emailed Brooks and New Balance asking if I qualify for any discounts they offer.

With Erica and I going through 4 or 5 pairs of shoes each it gets expensive after a while. When they discontinue one we use then we have the added expense of searching for another shoe that works.

I've asked about:

Military and Retired Military discounts

Senior Citizen discounts

Runner/walker club/team discounts (we are WISH team)

I'll report back when I get an answer. If you know of other discounts on athletic supplies or heck on anything please share. We need to save our pennies for what's important, like going to DisneyWorld and hanging with the WISH Team.

Our local running store gives a 10% discount on all merchandise because I work at our local hospital.

Maggie most running stores will give a 10% discount for running/walking club members. Only problem is most stores don't carry shoes that racewalkers need. I wear the Brooks ST 2 racers and our store here doesn't carry them in stock so I have to order them.

Erica can get a lot of discounts also because she is a nurse at the hospital, like free Sams Club memberships.

If you go on the web site for a lot of the chain stores like FinishLine, there are discount coupons you can down load.

I work for a LensCrafters and we have discounts on line. But they also offer 30% discount for AAA members.

We got a post on our DisneyRunning.com site that Target has a good sale on the Champion line of exercise clothes for women. Winter wear clearance. The target line of women's stuff is very good.

I'm still talking with Brooks, I sent them information for a program they have called the ID (inspire dailey) program. Any one interested can clickm on the Brooks site, click corperate then click programs.

On the Brooks site, you can also sign up to be a wear tester. And there's a contest to win a pair of Brooks.
