Share a ride?

Hi everyone... I am finally getting a bit more serious about planning my DIS CON trip. It is so unlike me... but I have not been really fussing around with details too much for this trip. Maybe it is because I am going solo this time?

Anyway, I have everything pretty well nailed down air transportation, hotel, paid the DIS CON fees in total, have my AP, got my MVMCP ticket, paid for my Hoop De Doo Review to Patinmn... so the only thing I have not attended to as far as logistics is concerned... is my airport to hotel and back again transportation.

I am arriving at the Orlando airport on Sunday December 1, Delta Air Lines Flight # 1543 at 4:30 pm.

I am returning on Monday December 9, on a 7:15 am Flight (Delta # 1063. Which means I need to be to the airport at about 5:45 am to have adequate check in time and security processing.

I am staying at the SWAN.


Does anyone have a similar schedule that we could share a ride?

I know it is unlikely, but I thought I would ask. If not... I will probably just do the cab thing. I refuse to do the mears shuttle because of the massive additional time going to all the other stops.

Hi DD, I am sorry but your times are not close to ours. I do not know the cost of a cab, but you may want to check into a towncar. YOURIDE a sponser here on the DIS is offering a $10 discount on thier service. There are other towncars services. I think they are around $70 - $80 round trip. They also offer one way service. See you in Dec.

BTW I just found a rate for a compact car rental for $135 including the taxes at Enterprise a couple of days ago.

Thanks DaveH! I usually do the towncar with my family - but it seemed odd to do that with just myself! That is a great rate on a rental car... but I prefer to let others do the driving while at WDW! It is part of the "escape" from the real world thing for me.

I may still do the town car thing... even though it is just me.

Your welcome. We are staying at VWL and BCV. It just makes it easier for us to get groceries when we want them. We get in at 11AM on Dec 1 and leave around 1PM on Dec 9. See you in Dec.

I have a priority seating 4:30 P.M on 12/01/02. And I have already made commitments all day on the 2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9th, but I'll keep the 9th in mind even though I'll be up the night before with MVMCP.

Bumping this up in case you miss my PM. I am picking up Fantasia Sam at the airport on December 1st at about the same time that you are arriving. I'd be more than happy to drive you to WDW and I'm sure that we can find you a ride back to the airport on the 9th.

Does anyone else need a ride from the airport on December 1st at around 5PM???

I get in on the same Delta Flight, but the next day (12/2). I have arranged a ride with YR, if anyone is getting in around then, I would be happy to share. I have to leave on Friday , if anyone else has to go back that soon, I can share back.

I've only had the car pick up one time at the airport, imagine me, just a cowgirl from AZ being met by some hunky driver with my name on his board! Woo Hoo, this is goona be fun.

I am heading out on the 10th. My flight leaves at 2:00pm so I guess I need to be at the airport around noon. I am going to be booking with TTC in the next day or so. If anyone wants to share a ride to the airport that day let me know.

I also leave on the 10th, but at 11:00am, so I have to be there quite a bit earlier. I made arrangements with FL Tours to be my transportation. I arrive on 12/3 at 10:30am. I can always share rides if anyone comes in around those times.
