Shaping up for 2.0

I went and joined Weight Watchers today - again. I fell off the wagon HARD, it may have even backed over me - but today we begin again.

Haven't been on to post in a few days, but this is another 'good on exercise, not so good on eating' week. :headache:

We went for a hike on Sunday (probably about 2 hours of walking, minus stops to stand around and look at things), and I've done days 4 and 5 of my EA Active 30 day challenge (that woman needs to lean a word that isn't 'lunge' :rotfl: ). I was going to set another 'minutes of exercise' goal for the week, but I'm already over the number I would have picked.

I think I'll make Wed - Sat's goal to keep on plan with eating, and get back to journaling every little morsel; whenever I don't do that, it's chaos. Today seems to have gone well, so far. Fingers crossed for the rest of the week! I will see that scale budge downward on Sunday. I will, I will, I will! :badpc:

O.K. just thought I would post my results..
I lost another 1/2lb. this week, which is great since I did not get any exercise in. :thumbsup2
So that is a total of 11 pounds in 2 months, with a 2 week vacation in there.:cool1:
I did not measure today, but will do that tomorrow. :thumbsup2
I can't wait to get some wheels so I can go to the gym again.

Very nice! My saving grace on vacation was that I was getting lots of walking in, due to the nature of the trip. (It was the ABD Backstage Magic.) Congrats on the loss, and keeping it off for those two months. :)

Welcome back to WW. I have been on since November, and it's made a difference in how I eat. I'm not losing weight as fast now as I had at the beginning, but the important part is that I'm not backsliding into gains. I may or may not gain, but I will say that I am making smarter choices now. Best of luck.

I know some say you should only get on the scale once a week. But I pop on and off every day - gee it's fun! The numbers fluctuate up and down, I am not sure what direction I am going.

Well, I stayed off the scale for three days.

This morning's weight is 5.5 pounds less than last Thursday! :cool1:

I am pretty sure that five pounds per week weight loss is not reasonable. But I hope I do continue in the right direction.

I'm bummed today, not able to walk this morning or at lunch. Weather is wet and nasty outside today. I might be able to walk tonight if the weather clears up.

Congrats on a step in the right direction though.
I new beginning is where it is at! :thumbsup2

Well it's been a heck of a day for me.
Got my car back, Then it broke down again on the way to my Dr.'s appointment. Missed my dr.'s appointment. Didn't get the walk in that I wanted as I had to wait for a tow truck. :sad2:
Here's hoping I get that new car real soon, so I can go back to the gym. :thumbsup2

Just found this thread...you can count me in! Looking forward to joining everyone!

I just started running again just over a week ago. So far so good, but I am notorious for starting up only to fizzle out and quit entirely within a few weeks. I am hoping finally to make this a permanent lifestyle change.

Even harder than starting up running again is changing my diet. I am a snacker - with a sweet tooth for cookies, cinnamon buns, ect. What I really need is some type of healthy cookie / square - if there is such a thing!:rotfl:

Does anyone have any recipes for a low-fat, healthy muffin, cookie or the like????

got in a great workout today. Ran my first 5K in prep for a race in a couple weeks. One good day of eating. Day 1 of the rest of my life ;)

Welcome!!! I don't have any recipes to share, wish I did, sorry.

That's great!!! :woohoo: Keep up the great work.

Holy cow! Take one night off to chat, and I miss two pages. Me likey! :thumbsup2

I am such a wuss. I did manage to get down to the workout room in the hotel but only managed 10 minutes on the bike. I need to get better shoes these are too tight and my foot was getting numb.

Oh well, that's 10 more minutes than I usually do.

You are NOT a wuss. It all adds up. WTG for getting down there at all!!

We went running last night and went 2.5 miles. I am hoping that we will be ready for the 5k in late june that we have signed up for.

Nice! :cool1:

Katherine - you are awesome!! WTG!

All that matters is that you went!

I need to see if they will still take my coupons that I bought before the cruise. :sad2:

Yes you will!! (Stupid scales never do what they should!) ;)

Awww, I hope you were able to get your walk in tonight.

Best muffins ever...even people who tell me they don't like pumpkin have loved these:

Pumpkin Cinnamon Muffins

1 yellow cake mix
1/2 c. water
2/3 c. cinnamon chips (Hershey makes them - seasonal only in some areas)
15 oz. can pure pumpkin

Mix all ingredients. Pour in muffin cups and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.

For you WWs: 24 = 2 pts each, 16 = 3 pts each

Just be careful...they are not diet friendly if you eat 5 at at time (learned the hard way).

You go, Don! :goodvibes

I am still really happy with my eating this week. I had a few bites (4 or 5) of cheesecake tonight, but planned for it by eating a salad for dinner. I swear one of these nights you are going to log on and see that I have exercised and faint. I promise it is coming...

I used to have to only get on the scale once a week, because if the number wasn't something I wanted to see, I'd be depressed the rest of the day. I've gotten over that, though, and now I find tracking day to day weight kind of useful, like tracking what I eat. I'm okay as long as I don't fixate, lol.
5.5 pounds in a week is awesome! Keep up the good work! :cheer2:

Hope today's a little brighter outside for ya. It stinks to have to be delayed by the rain. :headache:

Bah, car trouble stinks too! Hope it's behaving better soon! :headache:

Welcome! I'm terrible about doing that myself. The key for me (at least, I hope it will be the key this time..) has been not trying to do too much at once. Slow and steady, and all that. Hopefully we can all encourage each other to keep going!

Good work! How long is the race you're training for?

Good work on planning ahead! Was the cheesecake good? (Mmmmcheesecake...)

I'm happy to report for myself that I did 2 days of my 30 day challenge EA Active on Thursday (by fiddling with the wii's calendar :rolleyes1) so I got myself a day ahead there. I'm even happier to report that paying attention to what I've been eating the past few days AND (probably more importantly, really) by drinking a lot of water, I knocked off the extra pounds showing up on the ol' scale. So I think I was right in guessing I ate my weight in salt on the weekend. Still not registering a loss vs 2 weeks ago, but I'm definitely motivated to make Sunday's weigh-in a good one! :goodvibes

Happy Friday, everyone!

I'm definitely showing a gain this week, but I didn't really do anything that I thought justified it. I will find out tomorrow what the damage is, but I'm not too worried. I'll just keep on doing the right things and hopefully show a loss next week.

Weather never cleared up yesterday until very late in the day, so I didn't get to walk at all yesterday. However, I have made up for it today. This morning, I walked 2.5 miles and then went back out at lunch in our glorious perfect weather day (sunny and 69 degrees with NO humidity) and walked another mile. So I got in 3.5 miles today. :cool1:

Thanks for all the welcomes! :goodvibes I have managed to take a walk at lunch 2 days running... considering my sprained ankle is still bothering me, I think that's pretty good! Plus, staying in my points (I'd hope so - it's the FIRST WEEK!) :lmao:

I went for a nice long walk this morning. We had a beautiful morning, Sun shining, 60 degrees with no humidity. I popped in this weeks Podcast in my Ipod and relistened (I listen while I work, and miss things when I am interrupted, so I usually have to listen more than once to catch the whole show) while I walked 2.7 miles.
