Just heard this on the news. Police have taken his PC and searched the house for child porn.

When she was found DH said that there was more to this than meets the eye and suggested that perhaps something wasn't right at home and that the guy who had her had taken her for her own safety.

If this is the case I applaud him for doing something about it but not the manner in which he did it.

If it's not the case then I thank god she's not back at home.

I know what Shannon's going through and she's better off away from it all.

Latest from the 8am news-the step-dad has now been charged with possesing indecent child images.

No Shannon is still not at home,and her Mother has only seen her once thru a two way mirror.So she has'nt spoken or held her,and she apparantly is complaining about that.The police only do something like this for a good reason-or Shannon has maybe told them something.
As far as i'm concerned now that these images have been found,those other children should be removed from the home-or the Step-father(even both).We will soon see what type of a Mother she is,if she decides to back him over this+stick with him.x.

Something didnt sit with me at all from day one.
I watched the Shannon Matthews story on t.v where they followed the parents around.
There home life was very ahem! odd.

She has finally met her mother (shannon) in person yesterday so it says on the sun website.
So obviously they had kept her secure for a very good reason and now its come to light!

Just such awful news, i think it will take a while for us to find out the whole truth about what really went on. Have heard that the rest of the children are now in the care of social workers, and the stepfather has been remanded in prison.

I watched that programme to Beth.

I understand that everyone deals with trauma differently but if any of my babies was missing I know for sure the last thing I would be doing would be eating fish and chips watching TV.

Plus for the Mum not be have been allowed to see her for all those days after she was found, somethings not too right there !!!

I'd be camped outside the Police station waiting to see my girl.

There has now been 2 women arrested over Shannon disappearing.They are both related to the Step-Father.How much more sicker+twisted is this story going to get.x.

According to yesterdays papers Shannon's father wants custody of his daughter, previously her mothers parents stated that she shouldn't be returned to her. Now Shannon has said that she doesn't want to return and 3 other children are in the care of social workers. Something is really strange here.

The "kidnapper" in custody has attempted suicide at the weekend too.
Somehow I think this one will run for a while, with so many children in one family I hope it doesn't impact them too much

I too can see this running for a while. If they did have something to do with the kidnapping or have interfered with the case the mother will be lucky to get the child(ren) back.

As I said in a thread a few weeks ago before they found Shannon I live only about 2-3 miles from her family, there was more to this story than being reported but I did not want to start gossiping and getting facts wrong, now its all coming out.
