Shanghai POTC question

If you have seen the video of the Shanghai Disneyland Pirates of the Carribean you will understand this question. Early in the ride we see Captain Jack Sparrow turn from a skeleton to his normal self, it is not a screen it is an animatronic. Does anyone have an accurate explanation of how this effect is achieved?

I think that effect is one of the best ever. When I watched the Youtube video for the first time, I literally gasped when he changed. It looks amazing.

Thanks rteetz but it seems like there still wasn't a definitive answer. of all the amazing things in that ride that effect is possibly the most impressive thing ive ever seen even more impressive than the telescople rolling ball room in the Indiana Jones Ride.

That's right you don't really go backwards in that room the room is literally telescople
